Sassy Studio Designs Sponsorship: Crafts 4 Eternity

Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring Crafts 4 Eternity this week and their challenge is an easy one - Anything Goes!!! I've used Firefighter Honey for my card. She is colored with my usual combination of Copics and Prismacolor Art Markers, fussy cut, and popped up above my Lacey Circle Nestie die cut. That fabulous flame sticker is from my stash and was a clearance purchase some time ago. I also added two Tim Holtz metal corners for some contrast. The sentiment is from a My Favorite Things set.

Be sure to head over and link up your Anything Goes creations at Crafts 4 Eternity for a chance to win a fabulous Sassy prize - 4 Sassy Studio Designs images of your choice!

Thanks for stopping by! I'll be back with another post shortly... a special {PINK} preview so stay tuned!

Sassy Studio Designs Fabulous Freebie Friday

Fabulous Freebie Friday is upon us again here at Sassy Studio Designs! And not only do we have a new image for you over at Paper Craft Planet, we also have a new bi-weekly challenge starting there today as well. I know you are just DYING for the details so let me give them to you!

Meet Vampire Rosalie. She is your good at being bad FFF image for this week, and she will be available for 24 hours at the Sassy Studio Designs group on Paper Craft Planet. Only members are eligible to snag this voluptuous vixen so if you're not a current member, simply click the box that says "join" and you're in!

The challenge is "Dastardly Divas"! We want to see your bad girls and your villainesses! With Halloween only a month away this is going to be a fun theme to work with! You MUST use a Sassy Studio Designs image to participate. If you use either freebie given out during the challenge you will receive an extra entry in the random prize draw for 2 Sassy Studio Designs images of your choice. You have until Thursday, October 13th to post your creation on Paper Craft Planet for your chance to win!

For my card, I let the image take center stage. Rosalie was colored with Copics and Prismacolor Art Markers then she was fussy cut and popped up on foam dots. My designer papers are from a fabulous Martha Stewart Vampires Halloween pad that I got last year. The layout is courtesy of this week's Sketch Saturday (#174). I embellished with my usual items - flowers, bling, and a few die cut or punched elements. I so love having an occasion to use my Drippy Goo border punch! The sentiment is from Amuse Art Stamps and was stamped onto a ribbon border die cut that has been sponged with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

Thanks for popping in to take a peek at my creation. Be sure to head over to Paper Craft Planet now to download Vampire Rosalie before she retires back into the SSD vault, and I hope you'll have time to join the "Dastardly Divas" challenge! Have a fabulous Friday and a fantastic start to your weekend!

Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge #39 - Winter

Good morning! It's been a busy posting week for me already! I hope you were able to check out my fun post from yesterday and entered for a chance to win my Halloween blog candy. Today I'm here to tell you about a new Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge. The theme is Winter. It's still feeling more like Summer here, even though Fall officially started last week, but this is New England I'm sure it will be snowing before long! lol

For my card, I used Lil Christmas Pinkette August (digi version). Isn't she the sweetest? I think she may be my favorite of all the Pinkettes! (But shhhh, don't tell the others this!) I wanted my card to have a "chilly" look so I went with a completely blue and white color scheme with the exception of her hair and skin. She is colored with a combination of Copics and Prismacolor Art Markers and then cut out with my Labels Three Nesties. The papers are from a now retired Stampin' Up collection called Ski Slope. I love this paper, and I'm slowly using it up. I'll be sad when it's gone! I had a little fun with my flowers, layering them with a snowflake brad and a pearl. I embossed one panel with my Cuttlebug snowflakes folder, and the Martha Stewart border punch is called Icicles. I added some glitter to the tips of the "icicles" and also used my Clear Star Gelly Roll glitter pen to highlight the blustery flourishes on the image.

I would like to enter this creation in the following challenges:
Be sure to head over to the Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge blog to see what the rest of the lovely {PINK} challenge girls have created! We have some new members just coming on board so you'll want to give them a big {PINK} welcome and show them some love!

And then of course you'll want to break out your Tickled Pink Stamps images and play along! Remember that one is required to participate in this challenge. These include Lil Lolitas and Lil Lads, Lil Pinkettes, Pink Pets, and Cherrie, all of which can be found in the Tickled Pink Stamps online shop here. Owner Kellie will be offering all of the fabulous TPS images for purchase as digis for the entire month of October (instead of just for one week) so be sure to check in then to get yours. There will also be a special release for charity on October 1st. Some special new images will be available for only a $1 each, with all proceeds going to Pink Ribbon Day.

Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you'll leave me a comment to let me know you've been. Have a fabulous day and Think {PINK}!

Sassy Studio Designs sponsors Operation Write Home

Happy Monday! I just wanted to share a special challenge that Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring this week. I'm sure many of you are familiar with Operation Write Home. For anyone who is not, they are a wonderful organization that mails hand-made, blank inside cards to military persons serving overseas so that they can then send them to loved ones back home.

Sassy Studio Designs is asking for you to make a card for this worthy cause and mail it to one of their shippers. Be sure to check the OWH web site for card guidelines. They have some specific requirements that we ask you to follow. SSD is requesting that you create a "miss you" or "thinking of you" card as these are one of the categories they always have need for.

Once you make AND ship your card go to the Sassy Studio Designs blog and link your card here for a chance to win 2 SSD digis of your your choice.
Winner will be chosen by random draw. Please note that you do NOT have to use a Sassy Studio Designs image in order to participate. You have until next Monday, October 3rd at 3pm EDT to enter.

For my card I chose one of the recent Fabulous Freebie Friday images from the SSD PCP group. She's called Techie Tanya. I used my Classic Rectangles Nestabilities die to cut out just her torso so she would fit better on my A2 sized card. She is colored with Copics and Prismacolor Art Markers. The papers are DCWV, and my embellishments were kept simple with just a few gems. The layout is from Tuesday Morning Sketches, but I missed their deadline to enter. They will have a new sketch up tomorrow, though!

Thanks for taking a peek, and I hope you'll join us in supporting this cause!

Sassy Studio Designs Fabulous Freebie Friday

Happy Friday and Happy Fall! Today marks the official start of my favorite season! I am looking forward to chilly days, snuggly sweaters, apple picking, and falling leaves... Which brings me to the reason for my post. Today's Sassy Studio Designs Fabulous Freebie Friday image is called just that - Falling Leaves. You can find her over at our Paper Craft Planet SSD group, where there is a new freebie image every Friday! And to make them yours all you have to do is become a member of the group!

We also run bi-weekly challenges there, and we are in the 2nd week of our "Fall is in the Air" challenge. If you want to be eligible to win 2 SSD images of your choice, go to PCP and check out all the details there! You MUST use a SSD image for this challenge.

I've used the freebie (you get a bonus entry for the prize draw if you use the freebies being provided) and sketch #88 from The Pixie Cottage. They have a two part challenge there. You can chose to participate in either one or both - it's up to you. The second part of challenge #88 is buttons, bows, and brads so I joined in. The gold brads in the circles are from Stampin' Up. I used some gingham ribbon and twine to make bows and to attach a leaf button from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look! I hope you'll join us over on Paper Craft Planet! Have a fabulous day!

Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge #38 - Pick Your Combo

Hello and welcome to another Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge! Challenge #38 is "Pick Your Combo"! You can choose from the following:

1) Buttons and Twine
2) Lace and Patterned Paper
3) Chipboard and Distressing

I opted for buttons and twine for my creation. I used my new Graphic 45 Hallowe'en in Wonderland designer paper and super sweet Lil Little Ivy who is all dressed up like Alice. My layout is the current sketch (#6 - Kylie's sketch) from Pink {Ink} Sketches. It's been a stressful week in my personal life so it was nice to escape to land of make believe and crafting for this project. I think of my card making as a sort of therapy... Although sometimes I wonder if an actual therapist might be cheaper! lol

So if you'd like your chance to win 1 rubber or 2 digital TPS stamps of your choice we encourage you to play along! Remember, you MUST use a Tickled Pink Stamps image to participate. These include the Lil Lolitas and Lil Lads, Lil Pinkettes, Pink Pets, and Cherrie.

Hope everyone is having a fabulous day, and I can't wait to see which combo you choose!

The Corrosive Challenge #133 - Punches and/or Dies

Hello, and Happy Sunday! I have been up most of the night with my poor sick small man so please forgive me if I ramble or spout gibberish. He has been dealing with a tummy bug all week. I thought he was on the mend, but yesterday he was cranky and not himself. And on his birthday too! *frowns* He didn't want anything to do with his beloved trucks or cupcakes so I knew he wasn't feeling well. He has woken up a few times overnight but is sleeping now and I hope to get a few winks myself very soon.

First, though, I want to tell you about the new Corrosive Challenge that starts today! We are now a fortnightly challenge so this theme will run for two weeks. If you'll remember, we have two fabulous sponsors this month - Dude Time Doodles and Paper Makeup Stamps! Thanks to all who played along for our "Funny/Punny" challenge! This time around we want to see you use your punches and/or die cuts! I have used both on my card! The bats and bat border plus the sentiment were all done with punches. The "moon" was made using a die from my Classic Circles Nestabilities. My adorably sweet witchy fairy image is one from sponsor Paper Makeup Stamps! The layout I found on Feline Playful from a challenge blog called Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge. The sketch for their one hundredth challenge was perfect for what I envisioned for my card! I, of course, added some extras with the flowers and bling.

I hope you'll join in with the challenge! To see what the rest of the wonderful design team ladies have created head on over to The Corrosive Challenge blog! Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone enjoys their day! I'm hoping mine includes a nap!

Tickled Pink Stamps Preview Day 5 - Lil Christmas Pinkette Pippa

Happy Birthday to my small man, Kayne!!! Today he turns TWO! It is just amazing to me how quickly time goes by... I can't wait to spend the day with him! Presents, cupcakes, and an afternoon spent at "Big Truck Day" where he gets to look at all the trucks up close! He's going to love it! And I will love the look of sheer joy and happiness on his face!

Okay, enough of my mushy mommy gush about my adorable wee one! lol On to the real reason for the post - preview #5 of the darling Tickled Pink Stamps Lil Christmas Pinkettes! This is Pippa, and she is all dressed and ready for a day in the snow with her pal Frosty there. I have used a sketch from Stuck On U Sketches that was geared towards scrapbooking and adapted it to make a card out of it. It probably works better on the 12x12 layout versus my 5.5x5.5, but I liked it and went with it anyway.

Stop by the TPS blog to see what the rest of the lovely {PINK}ette ladies have designed for you with this cutie! Be sure to leave a comment there too for a chance to win Pippa for yourself!

Thanks for the visit and I do hope you'll leave me a comment so I know you've been by! I'm off to finish the birthday prep so the birthday boy and I can have a fun day to remember!

Sassy Studio Designs Halloween Hop

Welcome to the Sassy Studio Designs Halloween Hop! If you've arrived from Sara's blog you're on the right track! If not, you may want to go back and begin at the Sassy Studio Designs blog where the entire hop order is listed for you in case you get lost. We've been giving you sneak peeks of the new 2011 Halloween collection all week and now it is finally time to unveil them in the SSD shop so you can make them your own. I've used Mistress of the Night for my card! Isn't she sexy? I love this image, and it was actually one I had suggested to Lindsay, the talented artist behind all these images and owner of Sassy Studio Designs, during one of our team brainstorming sessions! It is so exciting to see it brought to life! It's a good thing Lindsay loves Halloween as much as I do! And the exciting news is this is the first of TWO Halloween releases because there were too many amazing ideas to fit into just one! We'll be back in October with more!

But for now you have six fang-tastic images to add to your collection! Want a chance to win some images instead of using your own dough? Simply leave comments along the way as you hop, answering the Halloween trivia question on each design team member's blog. We asked you to share your favorite Halloween tradition on the SSD blog. A random winner will be selected from all the comments on there. That prize will be 3 images of their choice! But wait! There's more! Another winner will be selected from one of the comments on the design team members' blogs. The trick is - even WE don't know from which blog the winner will come so the more you comment on, the better your chances of winning will be! Okay, are you ready? Here is my trivia question:

What was the first wrapped penny candy in America?

Here's the best part: You don't even have to have the right answer to be eligible to win! So take a guess (or use google!) and scurrying along to Lindsay's blog to see what spook-tacular creations she has to share with you! We'll also be chatting on the party blog this evening at 7pm PDT! We hope you'll join us! You'll find the link on the right hand side bar of the Sassy Studio Designs blog. Hope to see you there tonight!

Thanks for looking and happy haunting, I mean, hopping!

Tickled Pink Stamps Preview Day 3 - Lil Christmas Pinkette Faith and TPSC - RIP

And I'm back with another dual purpose creation! This one is a preview of Tickled Pink Stamps Lil Christmas Pinkette Faith (isn't she darling?) as well as my design team card for the new Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge that starts today, which is RIP. No, not rest in pieces, er peace! Although I'm sure if you wanted to interrupt it that way that would be fine too! lol Especially since I love Halloween! We want to literally see you rip something. I ripped my sheet music designer paper and sponged the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Vintage Photo. The sketch is from Get Hippity With Ippity (#5) which I discovered through Feline Playful.

Pop on over to both TPS blogs to see the gorgeous projects from my teamies and so you can play along! By commenting on Ms Faith on the TPS blog you are entered for a chance to win her for your very own! And we hope to see you play along over at TPSC. Remember, you MUST use a Tickled Pink Stamps image from one of the following lines for these challenges: Lil Lolitas and Lil Lads, Lil Pinkettes, Pink Pets, and Cherrie.

Thanks again for having a look at my work. I love hearing from you so I hope you'll leave me a comment to say "hi" before you go!

Enjoy your day!

Dare To Be Sassy Thursday #90 - Stripes and Polka Dots

Hello! I have a double duty card for you today! It's part sneak peek, part Dare To Be Sassy Thursday! The sneak peek part is the image from the Sassy Studio Designs 2011 Halloween collection, which is being previewed all this week as we count down to the new release this Saturday, September 17th (also my small man's 2nd birthday!!!)! The collection this year is a mix of classic monster, Hollywood glamour, and fun, flirty costumes. I have one of the monsters to introduce to you - Meet Frankenstein! He's ready to make some friends as he adorns my project for this week's DTBST #90 - Stripes and Polka Dots. My fun papers are actually a 50% off find at Michaels! I mean, how can you go wrong with $2.50 for a package of 24 patterned sheets? I used my Martha Stewart Cracks border punch and added a few glittery embellishments. The spider is a Jolee's sticker, and the web is punched from sparkle card stock with a Martha Stewart punch. My sentiment is computer generated.

The sketch is #19 from The Deconstructed Sketch. I don't even think it is up on the blog yet, but I'm a fan on facebook and so got a preview last night and decided it was just what I needed. So check them out when it goes live later today.

You'll also want to head over to the Sassy Studio Designs blog to see what else the design team has created. And you'll definitely want to join us on Saturday for the spook-tacular fun and fabulous new release festivities! There will be a blog hop, and of course, prizes!

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you are having a wonderful week so far! Mine is just flying by! But that's okay as I'm looking forward to the weekend! Have a fantastic Thursday and hope you'll visit again soon (I'll have a Tickled Pink Stamp preview and challenge for you shortly).

Tickled Pink Stamps Preview Day 1 - Lil Christmas Pinkette Coraline

Welcome to Day 1 of the Tickled Pink Stamps Lil Christmas Pinkette previews! Today we have Lil Christmas Pinkette Coraline and her mistletoe to share with you! Artist Stephanie Corfee has given us a new batch of holiday cuties and you aren't going to want to miss a single one of the sweet holiday girls!

For my card I used the current sketch (Sketch #5 - Kristy's sketch) at Pink {INK} Sketch Challenges. Papers are a beautiful collection from Stampin' Up, now retired, called Holiday Treasures. Coraline is colored with Copics and Prismacolor Art Markers. I kept embellishments to a minimum, just some flowers and pearls flourishes. The sentiment is from the Pink Christmas Sentiments set, also from Tickled Pink Stamps. I thought it was perfect!

You'll want to pop over to the Tickled Pink Stamps blog to see what the other lovely and talented {Pink} gals have created for you! And don't forget to leave a comment there for a chance to win the image for your very own! As usual it's not a preview and release unless our gorgeous and generous leader Kellie has prizes to give away!

Thanks for stopping by and hope you are having a fabulous week so far! Be sure to come back later in the week as I will have more TPS previews as well as a sneak peek of the Sassy Studio Designs 2011 Halloween collection, being released on September 17th.

Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge #36 - Use Chipboard

Hi and welcome to this week's Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge! I feel badly for having missed last week's challenge, but I am back with a new card for you! I'm still on my Halloween kick so bear with me! Teehee! This week's theme is to "Use Chipboard". Easy enough since most of us have alphabets, stickers, or other embellies made out of the stuff. My "YUM" sentiment is Making Memories chipboard Halloween sticker letters that I've had in my stash for ages! It's nice to finally have a use for them!

I colored up Lil Haunt 2 Zombie Kellita and popped her up on top of this week's layout (#62)from Waltzingmouse Stamps Sketch Challenge. The decomposed fingers label is from their Wanda's Pantry set. (I just received my prize from them in the mail the other day so I will finally have another set to work with for their challenges, and a Christmas one at that!). I added some creepy cloth, flowers, a Tim Holtz metal corner, and a few flourishes, and I was done.

You'll want to head over to the Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge blog to see what the gorgeous {PINK} challenge teammates have created for your viewing pleasure! And while you're at it, zip over to the Tickled Pink Stamps blog too as they are currently in the middle of the Lil Victorian Christmas previews and I don't think you'll want to miss that!

I do hope you'll play along! Remember that you must use an image from one of the Tickled Pink Stamps lines (these include the Lil Lolitas and Lil Lads, Lil Pinkettes, Pink Pets, and Cherrie). They can all be found here in the TPS store. Thanks for stopping by and hope you are having a fabulous week!

The Corrosive Challenge #132 - Funny or Punny

Good morning and I do apologize for the late post. Yesterday's Sassy Studio Designs blog hop and party festivities wore me out! It is my first Corrosive Challenge as challenge co-coordinator with my teamie, Susan. We bid a fond farewell to founder Janet last week as she handed the reins over to us. It's the first challenge of a new month which means new sponsors and new prizes! For the month of September, we are sponsored by:

Prize: $10 Gift Certificate

AND

Paper Makeup Stamps

Prize: $15 Gift Certificate

Today's challenge is "Funny or Punny"! We want to see your sense of humor come through in your project - whether it's silly, dry, sarcastic, wicked, or just a tad twisted! We want you to make us chuckle! You have all week to join in. For my project I used an image and matching sentiment from sponsor, Dude Time Doodles. This is Ahoy Matey Matt! Isn't the sentiment fantastic? And so true! lol I selected sketch 17 over at the Deconstructed Sketch as my layout and the papers are from the Echo Park 6x6 pad called Apothecary Emporium. I just love my Ribbon Banner Shapeabilities dies, and I've used one here for my sentiment. Matt is colored with a combination of Copics and Prismacolor Art Markers. The skull charm is from my stash and is studded with rhinestones.

Pop on over to The Corrosive Challenge blog to see what the rest of the design team ladies have created for your inspiration and link up your own project to be eligible for the prizes and to be considered for our Guest Design Team position for October!

Thanks for taking a look and hope you are enjoying your weekend!
