"Hit the Bottle" is the new theme over at The Corrosive Challenge. Now while a mimosa may certainly be tempting on this gorgeous Sunday morning, I am not advocating the consumption of adult beverages in any way, especially this early in the day! So put down the alcohol (unless it's the rubbing variety and you plan to use it on your project)! For this fortnight, we want to see something that came from a bottle on your creations. Think Stickles, glaze, crackle, liquid pearls, re-inkers, paint, even bleach! Let's see what you can pour on!
Our sponsor for April is the fun and quirky Dilly Beans Digi Stamps! They have offered a prize of three digi images of choice to our monthly winner!
Today I have decided to work with a Saturated Canary image because I have SO wanted to play along in their challenges but lately never seem to have time to do any cards that aren't for a DT commitment or an order! So this time I made it a point to incorporate a challenge I wanted to do in with one that was required. I think it worked out perfectly! "April Showers" is the challenge over at Saturated Canary Challenge right now so I selected Krista's One of Those Days image and added daubs of glaze on the falling rain drops plus a little Stickles to her tights. Here is a close-up of my colored image, showing the detail:

The papers are from another one of those yummy 6x6 My Mind's Eye pads that I can't seem to stop buying like they are candy! It's called Quite Contrary - Jack and Jill and the sheets with the umbrellas and the rain drops were practically MADE for this card! This soggy cutie is colored with Copics and Prismacolor Art Markers and cut out using my Labels Four Nesties. The sentiment is from a My Favorite Things set called Rain or Shine. I've added a few embellies - flowers, pearls, half a doily, and a couple of pearl topped pins. My layout was inspired by the sketch from My Time Made Easy (MTMEPPS56).
Markers used: Copics (E11, E21, E00, R20, R43, E23, E25, E27, E33, Y35, Y38, BG15) and Prismacolor Art Markers (151, 169).
I'd also like to enter my card into the following challenges:
- Cardmadfairy's Digi Days Challenge: April Showers
- Frosted Designs: Weather
- Crafting For All Seasons: #24-April Showers
- Scrapalicious USA: April Showers
- Papertake Weekly Challenge: April Showers (or Water Water Everywhere)
- Party Time Tuesday's Challenge Blog: #63-Water
Please head over to The Corrosive Challenge blog to see what the rest of the team has done for this fun challenge! I think you will agree that they are incredibly talent ladies! And I hope you'll play along so we can see your talent! You have until April 29th to link your projects.
Thanks for the visit! I hope you have an amazing day!
{hugs}
