For my card, I went with orange as my other color and decided to make it Halloween themed.  I thought for a change I would use just a sentiment and make it the focal point of the card.  The set I used is called Spook-tacular Sentiments by Becky Pearce and it's back in the shop as a rubber re-release so don't miss out on owning this awesome set!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps: September Krafty Peeks Day 3

Welcome back to Day THREE of our September Krafty Peeks at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

Today is the final day of peeks and the release party is THIS AFTERNOON at 1pm EST on Facebook!   Are you going to join in and help us celebrate ALL the new sets?

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps has yet another amazing stamp set from artist  Cheryl Grant today for our last holiday set this month!

It's called GINGERBREAD KISSES!

How CUTE is this set of gingerbread cuties?!! 
The set features a delicious candy covered house, a yummy gingerbread boy and girl, plus some sweet accessory stamp and several coordinating sentiments! Imagine all the super SWEET scene you'll be able to create with this adorable set!

I used a sketch from CAS Colours & Sketches (#289) for my card layout.  This way the focus was really on that delicious looking ginerbread house!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps: September Krafty Peeks Day 2

Welcome back to Day TWO of the September Krafty Peeks at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

There's not just one but TWO more holiday stamp sets to share with you today, and they are both SO CUTE!

First up is an adorable set from artist Cheryl Grant called......A CHAT WITH SANTA!

This 4x4 stamp set features a very large image with the man in red and two kiddos plus a furry friend! It also comes with four fun sentiments!

Here is the card I made with this set.  I did a bit of paper piecing on their PJs because matching Christmas jammies are a thing in our house!  (My son might have opinions on that soon, but we'll see!)

I used both images on my card because I like to imagine that Mrs. Claus does sweet things for Santa, like bring him a plate full of warm cookies, while he is hard at work checking his list twice!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps: September Krafty Peeks Day 1

Hi!  I have been having so much fun being a guest for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps this month!  I am honored and thrilled to be included not only in the weekly challenges but also in this month's new release!    

And it's time for the September Release which means..... CHRISTMAS!!!

Today we are kickin' off the Krafty Peeks with an incredible new stamp set as well as TWO NEW Hybrid Inks to add to the Krafty Kolours collection! 

First up is a GORGEOUS new solid image stamp set by artist Melissa Baker-Nguyen!
It's called HOLLY JOLLY ORNAMENTS!

This amazing set features seven solid ornament stamps in different sizes and designs plus five different hanger stamps! There are also four lovely holiday sentiments and to and from in a combination of beautiful fonts!

Now for my card!  I didn't have any KKS images that were school or nerdy themed so I had yo get creative!  I selected Oceans of Love to use for my project, inspired by the underwater fish "school" in Finding Nemo!  My saltwater friends are colored with Copics and fussy cut.

Now onto my card!  Of course I had to create something Halloween with one of the new sets!  This is the adorable boy vampire from Spooky Suckers!  He is colored with Copics.  I also stamped a sentiment from the set onto the image panel.  I incorporated both ribbon and (baker's) twine into my creation.  I also used this month's Kraftin' Kimmie sketch as well!  It was super fun!

Goodbye 2017, Hello 2018!

Happy New Year (almost)!  We are counting down to 2018 here, and I wanted to share a couple of my last cards of 2017!

I recently completed an order for a trio of custom cards for a coworker.  He let me have free reign with the designs with one exception: he wanted the recipient's name on each card.  The first is a New Year's card.  I have been wanting to color up the Let's Celebrate couple from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and this seemed like a good occasion!  Special thanks to Deborah Deruyck for allowing me to use her coloring as inspiration!  You can see her original HERE.

The images are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics.  I used Fran-tage for the champagne fizz.  Dies are all from La-La Land Crafts (Filigree Elements Border, Filigree Border, Filigree Stars, and Stitched Elements).  The gold letters are alphabet stickers from my stash.

Next up: Valentine's Day!  For this I colored one of Krista Smith's images.  I believe this one is called Path to my Heart.  She is colored with Copics and cut and matted using Spellnbinders Nestabilities dies (Long Rectangles and Scalloped Long Rectangles).  The Heart Beat die is from SugarPea Designs.  The rest of the dies are from La-La Land Crafts.  Featured here are Open Hearts Doily Border, Lattice Doily Border, Lattice Border, Stitched Nested Hearts, and Stitched Tags.  The letters are an alphabet stamp set (Spell It Out) and die (Tiny Shapes) from Whimsy Stamps.

The last card is a birthday one.  Krista is one of my all time favorite artists and I can never get enough of coloring her images!  I wanted to create a camping scene so I selected her Saturated Canary Winnie Goes Camping image and fussy cut the fire from another of her images called simply Camping.  All are colored with Copics.  I created a frame using the Double Stitched Squares die from La-La Land Crafts.  The rest of the dies are also from LLLC (Sunburst, Flag Banner, Happy Stitched, and Happy Birthday).  The letters are glitter chipboard stickers from my stash.
