The Corrosive Challenge #188 - Happy Holidays

It's the most wonderful time of the year (besides Halloween, of course) and I'm full of good cheer and holiday spirit!  Thanksgiving is only days away now and with it the official start of the Christmas season!  We're feeling festive over at The Corrosive Challenge this fortnight too!  Our theme is "Happy Holidays" as we welcome back fabulous sponsor C.C. Designs (formerly All That Scraps).  Any winter holiday qualifies, whether you celebrate Hanukkah, Yule, Christmas, Kwanzaa, or Festivus!

Christine generously provided each team member with an image to use and I selected Swiss Pixies Snowy Wall for mine.  I've paired it with Lil Lolita Victorian Christmas Ivy to create a wintry caroling scene.  Both images are colored with Copics and fussy cut.  I added Snow Writer to the snow on the wall and the trim on her clothes to give it some texture.  The postmark stamp is from Hampton Art.  Papers are Authentique - Festive.  I added a few flowers, a couple of punched Martha Stewart snowflakes, and some bling.

Do you want a chance to win 3 digis of your choice from C.C. Designs?  Then visit The Corrosive Challenge blog to join the fun!  The design team has some gorgeous holiday inspiration for you!

I need to start my Turkey Day baking today and I'm hoping to get some crafting in too.  It's going to be COLD here so I think it's a good day for the small man and I to cozy up with some projects.

Markers used: Copics (E00, E11, E21, E34, E37, E39, R25, R27, R29, R32, Y23, Y38, YG91, YG93, YG95, YG97, N0, N2, N4, N6, N8).

Challenges:
- Allsorts Challenge: #234-Bring on the Bling
- Stampin' for the Weekend: Feeling Festive
- Creative Knockouts: #12-Snowflakes
- Papercrafting Journey: Bling It Up
- Addicted to Stamps: #72-Make Your Mark
- Crafty Creations: #249-Ready for the Holidays-American Thanksgiving or Christmas

- Flourishes Timeless Tuesday: #247-Winter Scenes

Corrosive Tickled Tim Holtz... Wha...?

My blog title probably sounds like something from one of those Mad Libs word games!  Or perhaps like non-sense spouted from one over-tired crafter who may see the sun rise in order to get all her duties squared away. (Well, THAT will teach me to go off and party with a rock band on a Saturday night! lol)  But I assure you what appears to be a bit of silliness is actually just a combination of two fun challenges, one fabulous online digi stamp company, and the infamous Tim Holtz!

I have combined my Corrosive Challenge card with my Tickled Pink Stamps sponsorship card for Crafting When We Can.  The wonderful thing about this is that Tickled Pink Stamps is our May sponsor over at The Corrosive Challenge so it all ties in quite nicely!  Confused yet?  Well, don't be.  It's simple: to join us at The Corrosive Challenge simply use at least one Tim Holtz item on your project.  It could be his stamps, dies, embossing folder, inks, or accessories!  Whatever you have in your crafty stash or that new product you bought because we were a good excuse to do so!   Please just tell us in your blog post what it was you used.  To join the Crafting When We Can sketch challenge, use the layout below for your creation.  Both offer up some amazing Tickled Pink Stamps prizes!

For my card I have used Lil Spanish Lolita Willow from Tickled Pink Stamps.  Cinco de Mayo is almost here, and I have a friend who absolutely loves it.  I think what she really loves is an excuse to drink margaritas, but who can blame a girl for celebrating that, right? lol  The designer paper is from Basic Grey.  Border punch is Martha Stewart.  And my flowers are a mix of WOC and Recollections.  Can you find my Tim Holt items?  Well, that would be the music embossing folder used behind Senorita Willow; the metal photo corner; and the ornate metal bookplate frame.  My image is colored with Copics and, of course, my layout is courtesy of Challenge #17 at Crafting When We Can because it's Sketch Time there!

Be sure to head over to both The Corrosive Challenge AND Tickled Pink Stamps blogs to see what each design team has done for these fantastic challenges!

Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a spectacular Sunday!

Tickled Pink Stamps Challenges #53 - Bright and Colorful

Wow, today is a busy day! Two posts in less than 6 hours! This time I'm here to tell you about a new Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge! Today we want to see Bright and Colorful! I chose Lil Perfect Match Lolita Christina for the job! She strikes me as the bright and colorful type! lol Using this week's Mojo Monday sketch (#225) I have layered her on top of some lovely Basic Grey papers from the Sultry collection. They are called Fashionable and Dressy. Just love the hot pink! Christina is colored with Copics and Prismacolor Art Markers. The flower flourish stamp in the corners is from Stampin' Up. I left the card largely unadorned, but couldn't resist a couple of flowers, some pearl and bead topped pins, and a Tim Holtz Muse Token in one corner.

Remember that in order to play along you have to use a Tickled Pink Stamps image. They can be found here in the TPS store. The prize is one digital image of your choice! So head over to the Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge blog to see what my awesome team mates have created for this challenge and while you're there, why don't you play along for yourself?!

Markers use: Copics (E11, E21, E00, E25, E27, E34W6, W8, W10, YG95, YG97, B34, B37, B39) and Prismacolor Art Markers (1, 8, 133, 208).

I'd also like to enter this card in the following challenges:
- Charisma Cardz Challenges: #3 - Pretty in Pink
- Color Create Challenge: #88 - Color Inspiration Pink and Green
- Hooked on Crafts Challenges: #16 - Something Bright

Thanks again for visiting my blog! Hope to see you over at TPSC! Enjoy today!

Tickled Pink Stamps Challenges #45 - Vintage

I'm late, I'm late! But what else is new, right? lol Time seems to keep getting away from me these days! Yesterday, after an all day off site meeting for work, we celebrated my dad's 60th birthday. It was so sweet to see my 2 year old son sing his version of "happy birthday" to his Papa. I have been distracted with birthday card (my youngest brother recently celebrated his as well) and orders and as a result I find myself remiss with my design team duties. I hate to let anyone down so I was up early today to get crafty. The card got completed, but there was no time for a personal blog post before we had to get ready to head out the door to day care and work.

Now that my small man is quietly watching Finding Nemo and the laundry is in I can finally sit down to do my post. Tonight I'm here to tell you about the new Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge. This week the theme is "Vintage". This is one of my favorite styles with these images! They just lend themselves to it so well! Remember, to play along you MUST use a Tickled Pink Stamps image. These include Lil Lolitas and Lil Lads, Lil Pinkettes, Pink Pets, and Cherrie. All can be purchased here in the Tickled Pink Stamps store.

I have used one of the new Lil Victorian Christmas images for my card. This is Ivy and doesn't she look darling in her winter wear? I have colored her with a combination of Copics and Prismacolor Art Markers. I used some Snow Writer on her trim and added glitter to it. Card stock is from Stampin' Up and the designer paper is from a holiday Tim Holtz stack. I distressed some of the edges with my small scissors. I then embossed the die cut green panel with my ornaments folder and layered it on top of a ink distressed doily. The border punch is from Martha Stewart. A few flowers, punched branches, and some pearls finish it all off. The layout is courtesy of Cards and More Challenge Blog - #40 Sketch. Now that Halloween is over I can focus on the next big holiday looming - Christmas! With Thanksgiving only two weeks away it's time to start thinking about all those holiday things like presents, decorations, and of course, cards! I already have a head start this year, with a stash from the various holiday challenges, but I'll keep working on them now until December 24th.

And speaking of Christmas, I will be back tomorrow with my sneak peek of an image from the first Sassy Studio Designs holiday release, which launches on Saturday, November 12th! Thanks for stopping by today and hope you'll be back to see what else I have for you this week!

Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge #41 - White on White

Hello! This is going to be a super short post. It has been a crazy week here! My poor small has been sick! First with croup on Friday then with hand, foot, and mouth disease. Both caused him to run high temps! Two nights in a row now he's had the chills! My poor baby! He went to the doctor's for each so I feel reassured, but it's so hard when he's sick! I was able to stay home with him two days this week, but now I have to work today so he'll be going with his father. Hopefully today will see him feeling better, and either way I'll be ready to cuddle with him when we both get home!

So needless to say, there hasn't been a lot of crafting going on, but I did manage to get one done late last night. Here is my card for the new Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge! This week's theme is "White on White". The only part that can have color is your image. And remember, it MUST be a Tickled Pink Stamps image (found here) in order to play along. I have used one of the new Breast Cancer Awareness images that fabulous, generous own Kellie released this month! There are 3 images and a sentiment set (digis only) all for only $1 each! All proceeds from their sales will be going to charity. So print off or ink up a Lil Lolita, a Lil Lad, a Lil Pinkette, a Pink Pet, or a Cherrie and play along for a chance to win 1 digital image of your choice! I embossed two of my panels and used my Martha Stewart Doily Lace border punch on another to give my card some texture. I also added adhesive pearls, flowers (oops, maybe the hint of green from the leaves is cheating a bit! lol), and some pearl-topped pins, all from my stash. Lilith is colored using Copics, and the layout is courtesy of Sketch n Stash (#72).

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to head over to the Tickled Pink Stamps Challenges blog to see what the rest of the fabuolously talented {PINK} ladies have created for this challenge! I hope it inspires you to join in the fun!

Have a wonderful day!
