New Release at Noxine Stamps

Hello!  Ah, the weekend after Thanksgiving!  Turkey comas, shopping, and holiday decorations!  There's nothing like it!  November is almost over, but I am thrilled to be back with my second guest designer post for Noxine Stamps!  Today I am sharing a new release.  There are two fabulous new images in the shop!  Yesterday's Black Friday kicked off the holiday season here and I thought it would be the perfect time to showcase the adorable *new* Santa's Little Helper Aviva.

Aviva is colored with Copics and cut and matted using Resplendent Rectangles (Spellbinders). My La-La-Land Crafts dies always get lots of use!  Here I feature Fancy Doily Border, Christmas Tree, Rocking Horse, and Castle Border.  Also used were Ribbon Banners (Spellbinders) and a peppermint candy punch (Martha Stewart). The sentiment is from the Waltzingmouse Stamps set Santa's Coming To Town.  I added a few flowers from my stash for the finishing touch.

I would like to thank Jasmine of Noxine Stamps for having me join her team for the month of November!  It has been a delightful honor to work with her wonderful images!  You can find both of the new images in the shop now!

Club KennyK Challenge #18 - Anything Goes

Hello!  Am I the only one flabbergasted by the fact that Thanksgiving is NEXT week?!?!  After our super busy October at KennyK Stamps we decided to take some time to breathe before jumping back into it!  As a result the freebies that are normally available on the 1st of the month were postponed until today, the 15th.  We also have a special one image new release as well!

Every month there is a freebie image exclusively for our newsletter members!  If you want to get in on this perk, click HERE to get on the mailing list!  This month's freebie is City Star!

Join us over at Club KennyK for access to even more freebies and Dollar Deals!  This month's Club freebie is Sexy Elf and she is who I chose to create with.

I colored her with Copics.  It was fun to create something Christmas-y again!  (I'm already in the holiday spirit and even put some of our decorations up this week!)  I used a lot of dies, of course.   Featured here are Hello Tag, Tools Border, Scallop Snowflake Border, Loopy Doily Border, Tool Border, Candy Cane, and Snowflake Ornaments (La-La-Land Crafts) as well as First Place Award Ribbon (My Favorite Things Stamps).  The sentiment is one of those $1 impulse buys from one of my local craft stores.  Flowers from my stash and punched branches (Martha Stewart) finish off my project.

Today was also the official release of this cheeky sweetie!  Elena and Kenny created this sassy creature for an artist's challenge.  The theme was In a State so of course they opted for a sexy curvy pin-up in a State of Undress!  Read all about it HERE on the KennyK Stamps blog!

I colored her pert little bottom (and the rest of her) with Copics and then fussy cut her.  I used foam squares to pop her up and give her some dimension on my card front.  I thought that the chalkboard style quote was just perfect (can you believe it's from a 6x6 paper pad) and opted to make this the focal point.  I kept my creation pretty CAS (for me anyway), adding only a punched border (Martha Stewart), Hello Tag (La-La-Land Crafts) and flowers and a paper straw from my stash.

Thanks for visiting and hope your week is going wonderfully so far!  Be sure to visit us over at Club KennyK on Facebook for our current challenge, crafty chit chat, and all the other fun shenanigans we get up to over there!

November Guest Designer for Noxine Stamps

It's November and though I am full tilt between work, parent teacher group, reunion committee, design team and holiday prep, I said yes to another opportunity that I just couldn't pass up!  The lovely Jasmine Turandar opened Noxine Stamps in September and held a guest design team call.  I entered and was thrilled to be asked to join in for the month of November.  I have been dying to color one of these gorgeous images up and finally got my chance!

I needed a birthday card for a co-worker and Casual Aviva was just perfect.  I colored her with Copics and fussy cut her for my card.  (Everyone said how much the image looks like the recipient which was cool since I always try to personalize my cards as much as I can!)

My trademark style has really become centered around my use of dies.  For this creation, all are from La-La-Land Crafts (except the Classic Circles Nestabilities by Spellbinders).  Here I've featured Heart Fan, Hello Tag, Tabs Border, Fancy Doily Border, Scallop Border, Jungle Vines, and Triangle Lace Border.  I added a paper straw, flowers, and a big bling flourish.

Be sure to pop on over to Noxine Stamps and check out Jasmine's gorgeous images for yourself!

The Holidays Are Coming, But First....

One last Halloween hurrah!

Hi there!  How is it November already?!?!  I am SO not ready for the holidays this year!  I mean, sure my shopping is done (thank you, Toys R Us layaway!) but my crafting is a bit behind.  I still have a Halloween card to share, for goodness sake's!  I didn't do nearly as much Halloween crafting as I had hoped but I did manage to get a card done for my little man.  He looks forward to them so even though it meant staying up until 3am Halloween eve, it was worth it!

I colored Make It Crafty's Mini Headless Horseman with my Copics and fussy cut him.  His cape was a challenge but I was pretty pleased with the end result. I stamped the small book cover from Tim Holtz and mounted him on that.  Dies include Tim Holtz's Branch Tree, Twig border, mini moon, and Picture Wheel (Sizzix) as well as Frightful Fence and Large Lacy Border (La-La-Land Crafts).  The "spooky" banner is a sticker from my stash.

We had an awesome Halloween!  We went to a party on Saturday and then trick-or-treating with his friends on Monday!  I was Princess Leia and he was a Storm Trooper!  I WILL continue to buy matching costumes until he tells me it's not cool.  (And maybe even still then...)

My Halloween decorations are still up and I think they will stay that way until I feel the urge to get the Christmas ones from the basement.  (I don't have much for Thanksgiving anyway.)  Why not enjoy the magic of two of our favorite holidays a little longer, right?

Thanks for stopping by!
