Now, I was SUPER reluctant to venture out of my comfort zone and create a digital scene but Zoe pointed me in the direction of her amazing tutorial using Microsoft Word (or a similar word processing program) and I was astounded at just how easy it actually was to do! Check out Zoe's MIC tutorial for yourself HERE! My computer that I use for crafting runs on a Linux operating system so I don't have access to MS products. I use a free download of LibreOffice for my office suite needs. This tutorial worked for me so don't worry if you use another word processing program. The main principles still apply.
I chose to work with Starla's Candy which is one of the Krista Smith images that is available in the MIC store and pair it with the Candy World Castle background. Both are colored with Copics. Though this amazing scene could have stood on its own on a card I decided that I still wanted to embellish with my trademark layers of dies. With the exception of the peppermint candy, which is a Martha Stewart punch, and the Star Circles Nestabilities from Spellbinders, all of the other dies used are from La-La Land Crafts. Here I've featured Filigree Hearts, Filigree Crown, Loopy Doily Border, Stitched Clouds, Star Border, and Double Stitched Squares. And of course I had to add a fun MIC chipboard sentiment as well! I colored the chipboard with my Copics so it would match my project.
I hope you like my creation and may be inspired to create a scene of your own soon!
