Make It Crafty Inspiration Design: Country Mama
Hi! I can't believe another month is coming to a close! This year is just zipping by! I'm checking in here at the end of May to share more Make It Crafty design team inspiration with you! Anyone who knows me knows I can't resist Krista Smith's images! I'm sure I'm not the only fan who is beyond excited that she continues to sell select images through MIC! Today I have colored up Country Mother (minus her little one). She is colored with Copics and fussy cut. I really wanted the patterned paper to be visible so I simply used foam squares to pop her up on top of it. The dies are all from La-La Land Crafts. I've used Sunburst, Groovy Border, Stitched Pennants, Hot Air Balloon, Scallop Border, and Heart Handles.

I may even have stepped outside my usual comfort zone of cards... Lol

I had some fun and created a twisted easel card for my first project. This card features Gnome Marci as well as the all of the dies from the kit except Fairyland House. Marci is colored with Copics, fussy cut, and popped up on foam squares. I also used foam squares to pop up the sentiment panel that holds the easel part of the card.
For my second project I made a corner bookmark with one of the Sweet Gnomies. This was fun to make and would be perfect for end of the year teacher's gifts! If you are a club member, you will have access to my tutorial available on how to make these! The adorable gnome is also colored with Copics and fussy cut. I used the Fairyland House die and the Grass and Mushrooms Border die. The metal corner is from Tim Holtz.

Make It Crafty Inspiration Design: Flowers for Mom
Hello! How is everyone doing? We are half through the week! And has it been a hectic busy one! There has been quite a bit of coloring and crafting going on for design team projects and orders. I even partook in a 12 Days of Coloring Challenge! But today I'm popping in to share my most recent design team inspiration for Make It Crafty!
I received several orders for Mother's Day cards and keeping with the Flora theme for this month's MIC challenge I selected Flower Corner Arrangement to work with. I opted for a mostly monochromatic color scheme in blue (with just a hint of green and gold, like my eyes). I kept it simple and added just a few dies. All are from La-La Land Crafts (Fancy Doily Border, Build-A-Frame Fancy Large, Honeycomb, Filigree Crown, Filigree Hearts) except for the Mom word die. The latter is from SugarPea Designs. I finished with a few enamel dots as embellishments.

My first project features Gnome Marci! How cute is she, right?! She is colored with Copics and I have a done a bit of paper piecing on her dress and hat. Plus look at these whimsical dies that are included! On this card I've used them all plus a couple of the "punny" sentiments that come in the kit.

Some Odd Girl Coloring for Days
Hey! How's everyone doing today? I'm sharing a few cards I made using some of the images I have colored up during the current Some Odd Girl 12 Days of Coloring Challenge. This is a super fun and easy challenge because all you have to do is add a photo of your SOG coloring progress. Not a completed projected or even a fully colored image! That's my kind of challenge! Lol I have shared a completely colored image each day so far and have gone on to make cards with a few of them.
First, this week is Teacher Appreciation Week so I made a card for my son's teacher. I enclosed a Target gift card as well for a little thank you for all she does for her students. I colored Library Mae for the occasion. I created the sentiment with a SugarPea Designs stamp set called Noted and their Teacher die.
Next, I needed a card for my brother's big 4-0 so I colored up Nerdy Kody.
And lastly, I have another birthday card, this one featuring Llama. This one was for one of my favorite twins! (Her sister received a card that was donut and tea themed.)

Make It Crafty May Coloring Challenge: Flora
Hello! Welcome to another month's Make It Crafty coloring challenge! The theme for May is Flora. I have been coloring flowers more often since joining the team so this was a fun challenge for me and it fit perfectly with a 100th birthday card I needed to make for someone who loves flowers and butterflies.
I started with the Happy Flower Arrangement then merged the butterfly from Butterfly Lily. Both are colored with Copics. I then added a chipboard birthday sentiment, also colored with Copics. The dies are all from La-La Land Crafts. I've used Loopy Doily, Cherry Blossom Fan, Cherry Blossom Border, Two Butterflies, and Shabby Flourishes. I also added a few enamel dots.

Club La-La Land Crafts Throwback: Renaissance Marci (July 2016)
Hi there! Yesterday was National Scrapbooking Day. Though I'm not a scrapbooker, I am an avid papercrafter so almost the same thing, right? That means I get to celebrate too! Be sure to check out your favorite crafty places as a lot of the online shops are offering sales and discounts this weekend! For instance, La-La Land Crafts has a 20% off code through May 7th! I did a little crafting yesterday and wanted to share one of my creations. This card was made using Renaissance Marci. She was originally from the July 2016 Club kit but is now available in the store. This kit came with the Caste Border Die, Bricks Die, and Scroll Banner Die as well as the Magical Day stamp set which includes a mini Marci, a unicorn, and a sentiment. I needed a card for my brother's girlfriend and was told her favorite Disney princess is Aurora (Sleeping Beauty). I don't have an Aurora stamp per se so I colored up Marci to resemble her.
Marci is colored with Copics. I decided to try a pattern with my coloring on her dress bodice and tiara. She was then fussy cut, and I popped her up on some foam squares. Since Sleeping Beauty pricks her finger on a spinning wheel in the story, I used the Vintage Bike die to replicate the wheel and added a few pearl topped pins (the closet I had to needles). The dies I used are all available in the LLLC shop! And don't forget about that 20% off good until tomorrow!
