I'm sorry for the late post... It has been a very busy week and by the time I went to make my card last night, I was too tired to keep my eyes open. I had intentions of getting up early to make it, but my son woke me up about 8am. If any of you have tried to craft with a toddler on the loose, well, you can empathize with my struggle today!
So, it's Sunday and another Corrosive Challenge is here. The theme is Let the Music Play. So anything that has to do with music is acceptable here. I have used an image called Star from Kenny K for my Guitar Hero card. The sketch is from Challenge 61 over at Truly Scrumptious. I will enter it over there as well as Kenny K Krafty Girlz Anything Goes blog hop challenge. (As soon as I find time to get through all 23 of his design team's fabulous blogs and leave comments! lol)

It's finally release day at Sassy Studio Designs! You have been seeing previews all week of the fabulous new images from owner/artist Lindsay, and now they are finally HERE! Six pirate inspired gems for your card-making and scrap booking needs! Here I am showcasing the lovely mermaid, Syrena. The design team was given a sketch to follow for our release day project. It looked rather simple when I first started planning my creation, and (silly me) I thought it would be a quick and easy card to make... Until I got into it and put the Regan spin on it! lol After adding netting and pearls and flowers and a starfish, it had more depth and texture than I ever imaged! I was thrilled with the results and I hope you like it too!

'Evening, blogland! Just a quick post to get a few cards in for challenges. I don't normally combine more than one card in a post, but for time considerations I'm doing it tonight. Especially since I'm SUPPOSED to be working on my Sassy Studio Designs release day project! lol
So first up, above we have the deconstructed Sketch (#10) with an adorable teen image from Mo's Digital Pencil called Cara Chatting. This was made for a 15 year old, and I'm hoping the mix of colors, image, and bling are enough to make a teenage girl smile.
Next up, is The Sweet Stop (SSS116) featuring a fun beer image and sentiment from Designed2Delight. I attended a 30th birthday party last weekend and needed a masculine card. This is what I created! The papers are from The Guy Stack by DCWV. I thought they were perfect for this.
And finally, we have Card Patterns (sketch 123) with an image from Kenny K. My co-worker celebrated her birthday today so I surprised her with this card since she played softball (well, maybe "surprised" is the wrong word... I think they've come to expect my cards! Some even put in specific requests for their own cards! lol)

Card Supplies... Coming Soon!
Well, I'm back with post #2 for the day! I am swamped with crafting the next few days! I'm not sure how I'm going to fit it all in, but somehow I always manage it seems. If only I didn't have to work... But I know I'm lucky to have my job with the state of the economy! So short of winning the lottery (which I almost never play) or receiving a huge inheritance from some long lost relative (which I'm pretty sure won't happen), I need to work to support my crafting addiction! lol
Enough wishing I were independently wealthy (don't we all?).... Here is my card for this week's Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge. The theme is "cute and add a butterfly". So I added two (punched ones ala Martha Stewart) plus, though you'd never know it since you can't see it now with all my embellies piled on top of it, there are butterflies on 2 of my designer papers. The lovely creature perched on the bird cage is the new Lil Little Lolita Kellita! Isn't she precious? She is one of six new images from the Lil Little collection now available at Tickled Pink Stamps! There is even a witty digital sentiment set from the talented Cheri to go along with them! I prefer digi so I have to wait until Digi Days begin on the 15th (which is actually today at 10am for me since TPS is located in Australia). So, okay, I need to wait for pay day on the 15th. How's that?
Kellita is colored with Copics and popped up on 3D dots over the Tim Holtz Caged Bird die cut. I have had this months and this is the first time I've used it. When I saw the Kellita image I thought they would be perfect together!
My sketch is from the brand new, just launched Pink {INK} Sketch Challenge and I'm very excited about this! Sketches are my favorite kind of challenge and to know that this one is being run by the amazing {PINK} ladies gives me goosebumps! There will be a new sketch every fortnight. You still have a little less than a week to play along with this one.
Now on to my big news.... I just found out last night that I have been asked to stay on at Tickled Pink Stamps Challenges as a designer team member for an additional six month term!!! I am thrilled, and in fact I even did a happy dance last night when Kellie e-mailed me with the news! I can't begin to tell you how it feels be included with this wonderful, talented group! So you will be seeing more Lolitas and Lads as well as Pinkettes and who wouldn't be tickled pink about that?!

Hello! It's time for another sneak peek from Sassy Studio Designs' upcoming release! It's also the start of a new Dare To Be Sassy Thursday challenge (#81)! This week we're Getting Edgy! That means we want to see edge or border punches or dies being used on your creations. I opted for my EK Success Fleur de Lis border punch. As for our preview, my card uses the second Elizabeth Swann image, this time dressed as a s{curvy} pirate! She is colored with Copics and paired up with the only pirate themed paper I own, which happens to come from the All About Boys stack by DCWV. The layout is courtesy of challenge #63 over at Sunday Sketch and Stamp.
I hope to be able to share all the release party details with you tomorrow, and I know you'll want to attend! In the meantime, be sure to check out the SSD blog for other design team previews! Here is our character for Day 3 of Sassy Studio Designs Sneak Peek Week, and it's none other than Captain Jack Sparrow himself! The beauty of digital images is that you can re-size them to suit your project. I decided to "big head" Jack for this card since there was a lot of detail around his face. It's not every day a girl gets to color dreads....
I used the sketch SS-163 from Sketch Saturday as my layout, but gave it a little twist. Literally. I angled the mat under my image so you could see more of the pattern on the designer paper and so that I'd have a place to fasten my spinner. The compass I bought at AC Moore with one of my coupons. I had no particular plans for it at the time, but today I was very pleased it was in my stash! It was also fun to paw through my Halloween paper for this creation!
It is being sent to a very special stamping friend who has an affection for Mr. Johnny Depp. I am late, late, LATE with her birthday card, but maybe this will make up for that fact.

Today I have preview #2 for you.... Elizabeth! Here she is dressed as a lady should be... Corsets and all, I am sure! But we all know she would really rather be living the pirates life, and so that is where my sentiment comes from. I used some lovely papers from my K&Company ancestry.com pad and the sketch from Card Positioning Systems (CPS 226) to showcase this amazing image from SSD's owner/artist, Lindsay.
