So many challenges, so little time! lol Honestly, people, I don't know how some of you do it - linking 50 or more challenges to one card! I barely have time to make the cards, never mind keep track of umpteen requirements that have to be met in order for them to qualify. Maybe I'm just envious of your superior organizational skills. Maybe I feel inferior because the most challenges I've ever been able to enter at one time was, I think, fourteen (and even that required a BIG effort on my part). Maybe I covet your fabulous prizes and flashy blog badges. Nah. I'm having fun and that's all that matters! I am, however, impressed (if slightly bemused) by those of you who have the wherewithal to participate so vigorously in our beloved hobby! :)
So with that introduction, let me share a fabulous announcement with you! Sometimes those challenges that you and I enter are for design team spots. I was delighted to learn that my Nurse Honey card earned me an invitation to join the team at The Corrosive Challenge Blog! My official start date is March 6th, but I couldn't resist playing along this week with Challenge #104 - Magical Creatures. I have become enchanted with Tickled Pink Stamps and though I had treated myself to a few digi purchases, I hadn't use any of them... until now. I chose Lil Allsorts Fairy Kira from their last release for my card. Since I was using a Tickled Pink Stamps image, I figured it would be a good time to participate on their challenge blog as well. Challenge #7 is to use fabric. This is also a first for me, and I was a little nervous about it, but I think it went well enough. I sprayed it with some Smooch Spritz to give it a hint of shimmer and stiffen it up a bit. And of course, what kind of a blog post would this be without a sketch challenge?! My layout is courtesy of Friday Sketchers Sketch #142.
Here are the other challenges that I'm submitting this card for:
- Stamp Something: Something Funky (Does it get any funkier than a punk pixie?)
- Stamptacular Sunday Challenge: Challenge #99 - "S.O.S.!" SomeOne Special (I have a crafty friend who deserves some love in her mailbox! Shh... I can't name names as she may see this!)
- 2 Sisters Challenge Blog: Challenge #27- Embossing (It could be wet or dry. I used dry on my Old Olive card stock layer.)
- Bearly Mine Challenges: Challenge #4 - Ribbon and Pearls
