Deconstructed and Saturated

Happy 2012!!! Now that the holidays are over and I've had some time to rest, relax, and recharge, I'm ready to jump back into crafting! Today I have two cards to share with you! One of my resolutions is to enter more challenges with my cards so I am going to try to get off on the right foot and enter all my cards into at least 3 challenges.

My first card is a thank you card. It uses a lovely digital image from Hannah Lynn that I've had forever and just finally colored up. My layout is courtesy of The Deconstructed Sketch. I LOVE Jenn's sketches - they are always interesting and a little bit challenging! This is Sketch No. 33. Papers are from a new My Mind's Eye pad called Lost & Found: Madison Avenue that I got for Christmas. The border punch is Martha Stewart and all embellishments are from my stash (Recollections flowers, The Twinery baker's twine, Queen&Co adhesive pearls, and Jolee's crown stickers). The flourish die cut is from Sizzix.

Markers used: Copics (E11, E21, E99, E000, E04, E25, E27, R20, Y32, Y35, Y38) and Prismacolor Art Markers (7 and 208)

I'd also like to enter this card in the following challenges:
- Inky Impressions: Anything Goes
- The Paper Shelter: #45 - Anything Goes
- Whimsical Wednesday: #37 - On the Edge (Use an edge border punch)

My second card uses a fabulous image from Saturated Canary! Krista is so uber talented, and her blog is an amazing mix of art, family, photography and fashion! Her digital images are available in her etsy shop, and she has a fun bi-weekly challenge blog. The current challenge is "Clean and Simple". Now let me tell you, this WAS a challenge for me! I am an embellisher and it was hard for me to leave all that white space - even with the embossing. But I did it, just adding a rhinestone in each corner and some extra sparkle to the image with some Stickles on her stockings and gloves. Oh, and let's not forget the crown!

Markers used: Copics (E11, E21, E00, E04, R20, V12, V15, V17, Y32, Y35, Y38, YG95)

I'd also like to enter this in the following challenges:
- Wags n Whiskers: #70 - White on White plus One Color
- Frosted Designs: Fabulous Friday Challenge - Card Stock Only (No Patterned Paper)
- I Brake For Challenges: I Brake For Simple (Clean and Simple)

Gorgeous Regan. Love the way you colored the hair on the first one. The second is an awesome CAS card, the gorgeous image and sparkle and plenty on their own. Two fab cards!

Lovely cards Regan. Love the colours in the first one. Well done on the clean and simple too. I too struggle with this type of card because I do have a tendency to over embellish if not careful lol.
But great job done here.

OMG..your coloring is amazing. Both of those images are gorgeous. I LOVE the way you colored the hair on both of them. Nice job with the sketch on the first card, and pretty embellishments. Your CAS came out gorgeous..does not look like a struggle at all. Thank you for joining us this week over at the Whimsical Wednesday challenge.
