Two Anniversaries and a Birthday

Hello!  It's been a few days since I've posted anything.  I was so busy last week that I suffered from a bit of crafty burn-out.  I had to take a short hiatus to recover but today I wanted to share a few creations I made as special requests.

The first is a first for me: a wine bottle topper tag.  A friend of mine is in a wedding next month.  The bridal shower was this past weekend and each bridesmaid was assigned a poem to commemorate a future milestone in the happy couple's life.  They were to create a tag with the poem on it and place it on a bottle of wine or champagne with the idea that the couple would enjoy that bottle on said occasion.  She was put in charge of their 10th anniversary.  She promptly came to me with pleas of "I must have the best tag there... Will you help me?!"  How could I refuse?  So I found a tutorial online (which can be viewed here on YouTube) and went at it.

The poem is computer generated, cut with Spellbinders Nesties Label Eighteen and sponged lightly with Pool Party ink from Stampin' Up.  The image is from the fabulous "May I Have This Dance" set from My Favorite Things.  I paper pieced the heck out of it, coloring only their skin and his pants and tie with my Copics.  I masked the image and sponged around it with So Saffron ink.  I also used one of MFT's Die-namics dies, Dizzy Doily Duo.  Papers are Lost & Found Two: Sunshine from My Mind's Eye.  I added a few flowers and some pearls and used a Martha Stewart border punch along the bottom edge to complete the project.

Markers use: Copics (E11, E21, E00, E25, E27).

Here is a close-up of the tag:

I'd like to enter my anniversary wine bottle topper tag in the following challenges:
- C.R.A.F.T. Challenge: #151-Wedding/Anniversary
- So Artful Challenge: Wedding/Anniversary
- Crafting For All Seasons: #25-Anything But A Card
- Creative Inspirations Paint: CI Paints Inspired By-Tags
- Top Tip Tuesday: #75-Anything But A Card

My next assignment was a birthday card for a 1st birthday.  And I was told that the little boy who was celebrating is a huge Mickey Mouse fan.  I found a Mickey Mouse stamp set from Inkadinkado, a Mouse Ears punch, and the cute Mickey paper all at Joann's.  I wanted to keep the design simple so all I added was a length of ribbon, the ribbon slide, and some black glitter chipboard letters to spell out the all important "ONE".  The sentiment is from a My Favorite Things set called "Happiest Birthday Wishes".  I'm told it was well-received.

Markers used: Copics (E11, E21, E00, R20, Y38, YR15) and Prismacolor Art Markers (169).

And my final project was an anniversary card for a co-worker's grandparents.  When I asked if they had any hobbies, likes, or interests he immediately replied, "Their 57 Tbird.  It's red."  It was a no brainer what stamp set I was going to be using for this card - Classic Convertibles from Stampin' Up.  Papers are from the Wander collection from Basic Grey.  I added some ruffled ribbon in Baja Breeze (also Stampin' Up) and a couple of tires from some $1 model kits I found at Michaels.  My layout is courtesy of My Time Made Easy (Pretty Pattern sketch #57) and their color challenge (Pretty Palette #56) which was cherry, blue, and black.  I also used Spellbinders Nesties Labels Three to mat my image and to stamp my sentiment on.  The actual sentiment is taken from another My Favorite Things set called "Who's That Birthday Girl?".  It may not be my usual style, but I was pretty pleased with the outcome and my co-worker told me it was a hit at the party, being passed around the room and admired!  That made my day!

Markers used: Copics (W4, B00, E23, Y35, Y38) and Prismacolor Art Markers (169).

That is all I have to show off today, but I'll be back later in the week so I hope you'll visit again.  I hope you enjoyed my creations and thank you for stopping by!  Hope you are having a fabulous week so far!

{hugs}
Regan

That bottle tag is awesome! I have no doubt it was the best one there!! And now you are enabling me, because I'm pretty sure I need that circle die.
The Mickey card is adorable, I loved all things Disney when I was younger too.
And I love that you always have JUST the right embellishments (the tires).
Hope you get your creative juices flowing again, I hate when I get crafty burn-out!
