Dare To Be Sassy Thursday #67 - April Showers AND #68 - Paper Piecing
As promised I'm back with another post... This time it's a multi-tasker: it encompasses TWO Dare To Be Sassy Thursdays, a sketch challenge, AND a sneak peek at another of the new images being released by Sassy Studio Designs this Saturday! For today's peek, I chose to use Towel Tammy. Owner/artist Lindsay told us that she is model after a photo she loves of Marilyn Monroe. Last week's Dare To Be Sassy Thursday #67 was April Showers, meaning you had to use something "wet or watery" on your project. I stamped a puddle from my old Hanna Stamps set called Rainy Day and covered it in a layer of Inkssentials Glossy Accents by Ranger. Dare To Be Sassy Thursday #68 is paper piecing. If you look at my image you will see that both her towels have been paper pieced. I love this technique and use it all the time! For my layout I selected SSSC112 from The Sweetest Thing's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.
Be sure to join us on Saturday for the Sassy Studio Designs blog hop for a chance to win free images from the release! We'll also be chatting on the party blog from 7-8pm PDT (10-11pm for those of us on the East coast).
On a personal note, just wanted to let you know that the Easter photo shoot with my small man was a smashing success this time and thanks to his cuteness I spent far more money than I had anticipated! lol Oh, well... You can't put a price tag on memories, right? :)
Thanks for dropping and in! Feel free to leave me a comment so I know you've been here. I do appreciate the love! Have a fabulous day!
