Happy World Card Making Day! I was only able to get one card completed, and I'm cutting it close with my post, but I wanted to share. It's a birthday card for a co-worker and I'm hoping she doesn't see it on Facebook before I give it to her Monday. She is a lovely girl with a big heart and a love for giraffes! I selected an image from JadeDragonne to work with. This cutie is simply titled "Giraffe". If you aren't familiar with JadeDragonne's work you definitely should check her out HERE on deviantART or her Facebook page HERE. The image is colored with Copics and fussy cut. The sketch is from Technostamper (TSSC283). Papers are Stella and Rose - Mabel by My Mind's Eye. I used lots of flowers to make a pretty corner arrangement (Although Kayne told me I needed more! lol My little critic!) Then I added a champagne colored bling swirl, a doily, and a Tim Holtz metal corner. The sentiment is from a Stampin' Up set called Vintage Labels. I cut it using my trusty Fishtail Flags Stax Die-namics and then embellished it with a single Tim Holtz brad.
I was sad I didn't have more time to craft today, but I did get to spend some time with the family which is always nice! Not much on the agenda tomorrow means I should have time to sit down at the craft desk. I have another birthday card to make as well as more Halloween projects, of course! I hope you're having a wonderful weekend! Markers used: Copics (E00, E11, E15, E17, E19, E21, E23, E31, E70, E74, E79, R20, N0, Y32, YR15, YR18, YG91, YG93, BG10, BG13).
