Hello! Just popping in with a quick post to show off a birthday card I made for the daughter of one of my co-workers. He wanted something special for her 6th birthday and told me she liked purple and princesses! I mean, who doesn't? A girl after my own heart! So I colored up Sitting Princess Marci from La-La-Land Crafts for project! She is colored with Copics and fussy cut. Papers are from my stash- a DCWV stack called Once Upon A Time. I selected the current sketch (SSS232) from The Sweet Stop and added my own special touch with lots of embellishments! Flowers, bling, and a doily team up with several dies to complete this sweet card. Two of the dies are Die-namics from My Favorite Things (By the Number and Banner Strip). The other two are Spellbinders Nestabilities (Lacy Squares and Labels Fourteen). The sentiment on the front is one of Paulette's gems from Create with TLC! The woman is a sentiment genius and SO generous! I visit her everyday for her fabulous freebies and I always try to leave her some love! The inside sentiment is one from Stampin' Up and a set called Elementary Elegance.
I had so much fun making this card! It's not often I get to craft for a little girl and I loved having an excuse to use one of LLLC's adorable Marci images! Tomorrow I will push my craftiness to the limits with my very first pumpkin carving session... Despite my love of Halloween I have never tackled a jack o'lantern on my own. I LOVE to eat toasted, roasted salted yummy pumpkin seeds but the gooey, stringy insides that precede that just gross me out! But I have my carving tools and scoop ready for battle tomorrow evening. Perhaps I will photo document the carnage and share with you in a blog post! lol
I hope your week is off to a wonderful start and thank you for taking a peek at my latest creation!
