The Corrosive Challenge #127 - Manly

Welcome to another Sunday Corrosive Challenge! It is the last day of July and we must say good-bye to two wonderful sponsors, Tiddly Inks and Whimsie Doodles. It has been a lot of fun working with their images, but a new month will bring a new sponsor and MORE fabulous images to play with! :)

This week challenge #127 is Manly! That's right - make a card for a guy! I see a lot of us (myself included) say that making masculine cards is something that frequently gives us pause, but it's really not that hard if you know what they like. So yes, girls, beer, sports, and things that go are some of their favorite things! lol I went the sports route today, with an image called Golfin' Greg by Dude Time Doodles. Our fearless leader, Janet, is on their design team as a matter of fact, and that is how I found them. Greg is colored with my usual combination of Copics and Prismacolor Art Markers. I've used the July sketch from i {heart} 2 stamp for my layout. As soon as I saw it on Feline Playful I knew that it would work wonderfully! I used my Classic Circle Nesties to cut out 3 different sizes then ran them through my Cuttlebug in the Swiss Dots embossing folder. I also used my Martha Stewart grass border punch. The sentiment was included in the digi set I purchased and I had to chuckle at it.

You'll want to pop over to The Corrosive Challenge blog to see what the rest of the design team has created for the challenge. And of course, you'll want to play along! Don't the men in our lives deserve cards too? It is a beautiful day here so the small man and I are going to get outside to enjoy the sun.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!
