Celebrate Your Fabulousness

Hello my friends in blogland!  I have a new creation to share with you, and I'm a happy girl because I've been able to play with some Saturated Canary images lately!  I have quite the collection now - including the ten new Saturated Canary images exclusively in rubber from Little Darlings Stamps.  I have yet to ink any of those up, but soon.  This is a birthday card for my fabulous friend who is also getting married this month.  When I saw the digi Jamie Workout I knew I would be using her for this purpose!  She is colored with Copics and takes center stage on the current Sketch Saturday layout (#224).  I attempted the flicking method again on her hair.  Maybe I'll get the hang of this yet....

I picked up the Moxxie paper on clearance at AC Moore for only 20 cents.  One side had question marks and the other said "How Old?"  I paired it with Brilliant Blue and Going Grey card stock from Stampin' Up.  The black card stock is from Michaels because I ran out of my SU Basic Black and haven't had a a chance to re-order.  I had a bit of fun with my details and embellishments...  I used the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder on the blue strip then layered it with black organdy and polka dot grosgrain ribbons.  A Martha Stewart punch created a border on either side of the center panel.  I used some bling flourish pieces to create a cool effect around the flowers.  And my sentiment is from My Favorite Things, which I've stamped onto a metal rimmed circle tag and popped up with foam squares.

I had so much fun making this card!  It was one of those that came together easily and with results I loved!  As you know, in the world of crafting, that doesn't always happen.  I have another busy week ahead of me with design team projects and birthday cards!  September is a busy month!  My small man turns three in less than a week!  It's like I blinked and he went from chubby baby to active toddler!  He fills my world with wonder, love, and light!  I will, of course, need to make him a special card to celebrate his fabulousness!  I hope you'll check back to see what else I get up to...

Markers used: Copics (E11, E21, E00, E04, R20, R00, W4, W6, W8, B00, B06, B37, E23, E25, E27, E34).

The image is darling and looks like a fairly new image from SC. Your coloring is beautiful on her. You made a beautiful card and design out of this cute image.

This is great. Love your coloring, the hair looks awesome, think you've got the flicking down pat. Beautifully done and fun sentiment, too.

Great job! It looks like it took a lot of time, but I am glad it came together easily! I am catching up on some posting since I have been taking care of my husband!
