Love Birds

Love is in the air again as I have another wedding card to share with you!  I am on a roll with them recently!  This card was a special request from a co-worker for her friend's wedding.  As part of the bridal party she wanted something special for the happy couple.  I was told "love birds" was the wedding theme so I went with it.  My image is from Third Coast Rubber Stamps, though I can't remember what its exact name is.  I don't believe I've ever used it before, but it was just perfect for this occasion!  I stamped the image with Tuxedo Black ink from Memento.  The birds and branch are colored with Copics and the hearts are embossed and paper pieced.  It was then fussy cut and popped up with foam squares.

 
I really think this creation has a lovely vintage, shabby chic feel to it!  Papers are from Basic Grey.  The bird cage die cut is courtesy of Tim Holtz as is the metal muse token in the corner.  I added lace, flowers, and pearls from my stash.

Inspiration for my layout came from a sketch (#39) over at Christmas Challenges.  I just really liked the sketch and wanted to use it, even though I wasn't making a holiday card or entering the challenge.  I tweaked it a bit, of course, to suit my needs. 

Despite the love, I'm ready for wedding season to be over. Today's Fall like weather has me thinking ahead to Halloween!  Bring on the tricks and the treats!  One more wedding card to go and then I will spend the next month bombarding you with spook-tacular projects!
