Think Pink

I know I said I was taking the weekend off from blogging, but I attended the most fabulous garden party baby shower today and I just had to share the card I made as well as a few photos from the shower.  It's a girl so I went for a pink theme using Ice Cream and Pickles from Saturated Canary.  I colored her with Copics and fussy cut the image.  The sketch is the new Crafting Life's Pieces for June (#59).  I love their sketches as they are always so lush!  I went all out with this one, even adding additional elements.  Papers are My Minds Eye - Lost & Found Two: Blush.  The die cuts on the side were done with Spellbinders Labels Sixteen Nestabilities.  I also used a couple My Favorite Things Die-namics (First Place Award and Banner Day).  The border is a Martha Stewart punch.  I piled on pearls and flowers to finish!

 

  
This adorable "blanket baby" was made by my mom!  (Sorry for the photo quality on this one- it was taken with my cell phone.)  They are one of the things I give every time I attend a baby shower!  My mom has her own shop on Art Fire where you can check out all her crafts and jewelery for sale.  Visit her at Wyvern Designs. 

My friend threw the shower for her youngest daughter who is excepting her first child at the end of this month.  I knew the celebration would be flawlessly executed because I swear my friend seriously channels Martha Stewart sometimes (minus the prison time).  Here are a few photos from the festivities.

 

 

 And it looks like my small man made a new friend!  lol  That is my friend's granddaughter and they had a wonderful time playing together on this perfect Summery day, wheelbarrow ride and all!  I hope everyone else enjoyed their weekend as much as we did!
