Sometimes Less is More

Hi there!  Today's project is a CAS card I made for my co-workers birthday.  I don't usually "do" clean and simple.  I have an embellishment problem.  I'm addicted, and I like to pile them on my cards.  When my creation does not weigh a hefty amount and cost a small fortune to mail I feel it is some how empty and unfinished.  Admitting my problem is half the battle, right?  lol  I need to let go and believe that plain can be pretty too!  I had this beautiful paper in my stash and I really wanted to use it.  So I created a one layer card and then used foam squares to adhere my colored and fussy cut image.  This is Pint Sized Love from Saturated Canary. My co-worker has an orange tabby named Marley so I tried to color up the kitty like him.  Her reaction to the card was priceless, both before and after she opened the envelope, and is that is the whole reason I craft in the first place!  It's nice to see the happiness they bring to their recipients!

I am off for a little quality time with the family now, but I'll be back tomorrow with a new Corrosive Challenge and hopefully my project for Day 4 of the 13 Days of Halloween with SBS!  We're going to the circus tomorrow so it's going take some maneuvering to fit crafting into the schedule.

Enjoy your day and hope you'll visit again soon!
