Sympathy cards are not my favorite thing to make. Understandably so as that means something sad has occurred. But I wanted to give a bit of comfort to my mom for the loss of their dog, Odin. I knew Mo Manning's image Angel with Puppy would be perfect. I colored her with Copics and used the current layout from Sketch n Stash (#97). She is layered on top of a mat cut with Labels Nine Nestabilities from Spellbinders. A bit of Crystal Stickles adorns her wings. Papers are DCWV The Pets Stack. I added some flowers, bling, and a metal corner. The sentiment is from a My Favorite Things set and was cut out with one of the Grommet Tags dies, also from Spellbinders. I happened to have the Good Dog license tag (a Jolees sticker) in my stash.

Surprisingly, she is already talking about getting a puppy. My parents have always been dog people and ever since I was little we've had 4-legged family members. Each one loved like no other. I have a sneaking suspicion, though, that my small man has something to do with the desire to acquire a new pet so soon. I know he will be delighted and I hope that it brightens my mom's spirits too.
