Hello! Well, we're half way through the work week and that much closer to the weekend. I'm freaking out a bit as it's one of those crazy, hectic crafty weeks and I am off to a slow start. I'm hoping to gain some momentum and get things accomplished now.... because sometimes the hardest part is getting started and I've done that! So today I'm here to tell you about another fabulous sponsorship from Tickled Pink Stamps! I'm sure many of you have heard the news that Kellie has decided to close TPS down. It is heart-breaking for TPS fans everywhere, but she needs to do what is best for her and her family. Today it's Divas By Design and their challenge is "Tickled Pink"! Let's see you use LOTS of pink! I did, but a bit of blue snuck in as well. My image is Party Pinkette August, and she can be found here in the TPS shop. She's colored with Copics with a touch of Stardust glitter pen. Papers are Basic Grey - Urban Prairie. I've used a couple of dies, one Spellbinder (Picot Circles) and one Die-namics from My Favorite Things. The only embellishments I added were a few flowers and some large half pearls, one in each corner. I didn't want to distract too much from the lovely Mojo Monday sketch (#241). The sentiment is also from My Favorite Things.

Today is the day! Today the four adorable Lil Easter Pinkettes are being released over at Tickled Pink Stamps! They are available only as digis and you can click here to go shopping. There is a 15% off release sale going on for 24 hours only so if you love these cuties, like I said, today is the day!
My card today features Lil Easter Daisy August. August is one of my favorite Pinkettes! Perhaps because her name is my birth month. Or maybe because she's so darned cute! Either way, when Kellie offered to let me make a creation for the release day post with her, I couldn't resist! I was bummed I missed previewing her due to my cold, and Kellie is such a dear to do this! August is colored with Copics and one Prismacolor Art Marker. She is fussy cut and popped up on top of my simple layout. I really wanted her, the flowers (a mix of Wild Orchid Crafts and Recollections), and the paper to stand out and take center stage! A bit of lace and a rhinestone flourish were the only other embellishments I added.
Markers used: Copics (E11, E21, E00, R20, E23, E25, E27, YG03, Y32) and Prismacolor Art Markers (192).

Good morning! It's been a busy posting week for me already! I hope you were able to check out my fun post from yesterday and entered for a chance to win my Halloween blog candy. Today I'm here to tell you about a new Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge. The theme is Winter. It's still feeling more like Summer here, even though Fall officially started last week, but this is New England I'm sure it will be snowing before long! lol
For my card, I used Lil Christmas Pinkette August (digi version). Isn't she the sweetest? I think she may be my favorite of all the Pinkettes! (But shhhh, don't tell the others this!) I wanted my card to have a "chilly" look so I went with a completely blue and white color scheme with the exception of her hair and skin. She is colored with a combination of Copics and Prismacolor Art Markers and then cut out with my Labels Three Nesties. The papers are from a now retired Stampin' Up collection called Ski Slope. I love this paper, and I'm slowly using it up. I'll be sad when it's gone! I had a little fun with my flowers, layering them with a snowflake brad and a pearl. I embossed one panel with my Cuttlebug snowflakes folder, and the Martha Stewart border punch is called Icicles. I added some glitter to the tips of the "icicles" and also used my Clear Star Gelly Roll glitter pen to highlight the blustery flourishes on the image.

Welcome to day three of Tickled Pink Stamps' Lil Tom Boyz Pinkette previews... Today we have sweet August for you! She is too busy wood-working to be worried about playing house! Look at the pencil tucked into her hair? Isn't she just darling? As you can tell, I do have a particular fondness for this Pinkette. Maybe it's because her name is my birth month. Or perhaps she reminds me of my younger self. And though I'm not skilled with hammer, nail or saw, I do use tools of a different sort to create when I'm crafting.
You will want to make sure to get over to the TPS blog to check out all the other preview creations from the amazing Pink and Pinkette ladies! As always, Kellie has a fabulous giveaway and all you have to do it leave a comment over there to be eligible.
For my card, I started with SSSC120 from Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge as my base design. I've had the paper in my stash for a while now and knew it was perfect. It was interesting trying to create a "pretty" card that wasn't overly "girlie". The measuring tape ribbon I snagged from one of the chain craft stores that I frequent (there are 3 in my area, all of which I can hit on the way from work to home. Dangerous! lol). Somewhere along the way I decided that real sandpaper would be a fantastic idea so I used my Classic Circle Nesties to cut them from a Tim Holtz refill for his sanding block. A few flowers, a little bit of lace and a touch of bling later and I was done.
