Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge #41 - White on White

Hello! This is going to be a super short post. It has been a crazy week here! My poor small has been sick! First with croup on Friday then with hand, foot, and mouth disease. Both caused him to run high temps! Two nights in a row now he's had the chills! My poor baby! He went to the doctor's for each so I feel reassured, but it's so hard when he's sick! I was able to stay home with him two days this week, but now I have to work today so he'll be going with his father. Hopefully today will see him feeling better, and either way I'll be ready to cuddle with him when we both get home!

So needless to say, there hasn't been a lot of crafting going on, but I did manage to get one done late last night. Here is my card for the new Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge! This week's theme is "White on White". The only part that can have color is your image. And remember, it MUST be a Tickled Pink Stamps image (found here) in order to play along. I have used one of the new Breast Cancer Awareness images that fabulous, generous own Kellie released this month! There are 3 images and a sentiment set (digis only) all for only $1 each! All proceeds from their sales will be going to charity. So print off or ink up a Lil Lolita, a Lil Lad, a Lil Pinkette, a Pink Pet, or a Cherrie and play along for a chance to win 1 digital image of your choice! I embossed two of my panels and used my Martha Stewart Doily Lace border punch on another to give my card some texture. I also added adhesive pearls, flowers (oops, maybe the hint of green from the leaves is cheating a bit! lol), and some pearl-topped pins, all from my stash. Lilith is colored using Copics, and the layout is courtesy of Sketch n Stash (#72).

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to head over to the Tickled Pink Stamps Challenges blog to see what the rest of the fabuolously talented {PINK} ladies have created for this challenge! I hope it inspires you to join in the fun!

Have a wonderful day!
{hugs}

Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge #27 - Use a Doily

Hello and welcome to a new Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge AND a preview of one of the fabulous new images being released next week! This is Lil Little Lolita Lilith. We all know and love the Lolitas and Lads and now we get to see them when they were a bit younger. There are six images in all and they will be available on July 12th!

The challenge this week is to Use a Doily. I incorporated mine as an element in the sketch I chose from Create4Fun.

A new image is being previewed today so make sure you stop by the Tickled Pink Stamps blog to see who it is. AND pop over to the TPS Challenge blog here to see what the rest of Kellie's amazing design team has created. (I must admit... I feel this may not be my best work as I procrastinated and was rushed for time on top of being tired. It's also an awful photo so maybe I'll try to get a better shot tonight.)

Hope you enjoy your day and think {PINK}!!!

Tickled Pink Challenge #20 - Distressing

I'm back with your new Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge and this week it's DISTRESSING! Now don't fret... I didn't mean the challenge will upset you (Though it may, if you're like me and cringe every time you crumple, rip, tear, and otherwise maul perfectly good card stock and designer paper! lol)! We simply want to see a distressed look on your creation. That may mean tearing some paper, inking it up, sanding down an embellishment or any other type of distressing that you can dream up. All are acceptable.

I have used a combination of techniques on my card. I haven't crafted in 5 days and have
b
een feeling a bit blue. This whole projected ended up being one big therapy session for me and it felt good to channel my feeling into something creative! I used Lil Valentine Lilith as my image. I love that look on her face! I've been there, and I felt a kinship with her. She was printed on white card stock and colored with Copics and Prismacolor markers. I inked the edges of my card base with Vintage Photo Distress Ink from Tim Holtz. I love that man and his crafting supplies! My next layer of purple card stock was cut with deckle scissors around the edges, run through my Cuttlebug in a 5x7 embossing folder and then sanded. The black and white designer paper was ripped and the edges also inked with Vintage Photo. My final layer is Kraft on which I printed a poem of unrequited love by Lord Byron entitled When We Two Parted. I misted the card stock with water, crumpled it, ripped the edges, sponged the edges with Vintage Photo and the surface with Old Paper Distressing Ink. After that, all that was left was to add my embellishments. I distressed the adage tickets as well. My layout started out as this week's Mojo Monday sketch (#191), but once I got started it sort of took on a life of it's own, and I ended up deviating from the sketch slightly.

Thanks for looking, and I hope you'll leave me a comment to let me know what you think! I am hoping each day gets brighter for me, at least metaphorically anyway since it's been raining for days and the trend is forecast to continue through the weekend. Enjoy YOUR day and happy crafting!

Tickled Pink Challenge #18 - Sketch

Hello! It's time for a new Tickled Pink Stamps challenge! This is my 1st one as guest designer, and I'm SO excited that Challenge #18 is a sketch! TPS is currently previewing their images in a new collection called Lil Victorian Steampunk, and I was lucky enough to receive a few of them to play with! Here I've used Lil Victorian Steampunk Lilith. I've never done a Steampunk card before, but after the inspiration from the fabulous design team on the TPS blog, I thought I was ready... I hope you like the result! If you like Lilith, then be sure to check out the stunning samples from the design team on the Tickled Pink Stamps blog!

Tim Holtz products are fabulous for this style, and I used a few of his hardware pieces to dress up my card. I also found a new paper stack from DCWV called Tattered Time that I incorporated. Add some dry embossing, a Martha Stewart border punch and a few Prima flowers and I was quite pleased with my 1st Steampunk effort. The new collection will be available for purchase in rubber on May 7th (that's actually May 6th @ 10am for us in the States since TPS is located in Australia). It took me a bit to figure out the time difference since owner Kellie seems like she's always awake and responding to emails and posts! lol They're also having a Buy 3, Get Your 4th Free sale on their rubber so it's a great time to stock up on these fabulous images! (Note:They will be available as digis for one week this month, starting on the 15th.) You can shop here!

I'd also like to enter this into the Crafty Cardmakers challenge. The theme for Challenge #45 is Steampunk or Machines. How appropriate! :)

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!
