For my card, I went with orange as my other color and decided to make it Halloween themed.  I thought for a change I would use just a sentiment and make it the focal point of the card.  The set I used is called Spook-tacular Sentiments by Becky Pearce and it's back in the shop as a rubber re-release so don't miss out on owning this awesome set!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps: September Krafty Peeks Day 3

Welcome back to Day THREE of our September Krafty Peeks at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

Today is the final day of peeks and the release party is THIS AFTERNOON at 1pm EST on Facebook!   Are you going to join in and help us celebrate ALL the new sets?

How CUTE is this set of gingerbread cuties?!! 
The set features a delicious candy covered house, a yummy gingerbread boy and girl, plus some sweet accessory stamp and several coordinating sentiments! Imagine all the super SWEET scene you'll be able to create with this adorable set!

I used a sketch from CAS Colours & Sketches (#289) for my card layout.  This way the focus was really on that delicious looking ginerbread house!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps: September Krafty Peeks Day 2

Welcome back to Day TWO of the September Krafty Peeks at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

There's not just one but TWO more holiday stamp sets to share with you today, and they are both SO CUTE!

First up is an adorable set from artist Cheryl Grant called......A CHAT WITH SANTA!

This 4x4 stamp set features a very large image with the man in red and two kiddos plus a furry friend! It also comes with four fun sentiments!

Here is the card I made with this set.  I did a bit of paper piecing on their PJs because matching Christmas jammies are a thing in our house!  (My son might have opinions on that soon, but we'll see!)

I used both images on my card because I like to imagine that Mrs. Claus does sweet things for Santa, like bring him a plate full of warm cookies, while he is hard at work checking his list twice!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps: September Krafty Peeks Day 1

Hi!  I have been having so much fun being a guest for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps this month!  I am honored and thrilled to be included not only in the weekly challenges but also in this month's new release!    

And it's time for the September Release which means..... CHRISTMAS!!!

Today we are kickin' off the Krafty Peeks with an incredible new stamp set as well as TWO NEW Hybrid Inks to add to the Krafty Kolours collection! 

First up is a GORGEOUS new solid image stamp set by artist Melissa Baker-Nguyen!
It's called HOLLY JOLLY ORNAMENTS!

Now for my card!  I didn't have any KKS images that were school or nerdy themed so I had yo get creative!  I selected Oceans of Love to use for my project, inspired by the underwater fish "school" in Finding Nemo!  My saltwater friends are colored with Copics and fussy cut.

Now onto my card!  Of course I had to create something Halloween with one of the new sets!  This is the adorable boy vampire from Spooky Suckers!  He is colored with Copics.  I also stamped a sentiment from the set onto the image panel.  I incorporated both ribbon and (baker's) twine into my creation.  I also used this month's Kraftin' Kimmie sketch as well!  It was super fun!

Make It Crafty Guest Designer: Mini Frankenstein

Hello! I can't believe this is my last post as a Make It Crafty guest designer! Those two months went by SO fast! I am honored to have had this opportunity and really enjoyed my time there! But now that I'm addicted to Zoe's chipboard they won't be able to get rid of me anytime soon...  Lol

Today I am sharing a card for my favorite holiday, Halloween! I colored up Mini Frankenstein and cut him out with the Stitched Elements oval die from La-La Land Crafts. I then layered more dies (Haunted Hill Border, Pumpkins Border, Spider Web, Steampunk Border, Steampunk Heart Cogs, and Stitched Tags) and added a sentiment that I created using words in the Boo adapt-a-word chipboard set. I colored the words with my Black 100 Copic marker and topped that with a coat of Black Wink of Stella to give it some sparkle. I'm going to give this card to my son for Halloween!  The purple enamel dots are from Nicole Crafts.

Make It Crafty Guest Designer: Mermaid Viviane

Hello! I can't believe that September is almost over! It has been so much fun being a guest designer here at Make It Crafty! I would like to thank Zoe and her team for having me and for being patient with my, ehem, punctuality issues. Lol  I only have one more post after today and then I say farewell. Where does the time go, right?

I have loved this mermaid since I first laid eyes on her and was happy to finally have a chance to color her! Her name is Mermaid Viviane and she is, of course, colored with Copics. I cut her with Double Stitched Square die from La-La Land Crafts and layered that on my card along with a few other LLLC dies.  Here I've used Waves Border, Wave Flurry Border, Bubbles (from Sea Critters), and Loopy Border.

I couldn't resist using some more of the awesome chipboard words as well! I created my sentiment using a combination of words from the Magical adapt-a-word chipboard set. I colored "create" and "moments" with my Copics to create an ombre effect. "Magical" was colored in with Copic marker as a base then covered in Stickles glitter glue in Lime Green.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Sneak Peek: Grim Gretchen

Hello!  Today I am super excited to be taking part in the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps New Release sneak peek for a SPOOKTACULAR new stamp from artist Annie Rodrigue!  You may remember a short while back that Kim offered an exclusive Super Secret Krafty Klub Halloween Kard Kit...  Well, THIS is the stamp that was included along with oodles of fab Halloween bits and bobs!  Meet Grim Gretchen! 

Brace yourselves...  I decided to make a clean and simple card today!  I stamped the image using Momento Tuxedo Black ink on a 5"x5" piece of Xpress It Blending card stock.  I then colored the image with my Copics.  The sentiment was created using chipboard words from Make It Crafty!  (If you haven't checked these out yet, you need to!  They are my new obsession!  You can see the awesome selection in Zoe's shop HERE.)  The corner spider web is a die from La-La Land Crafts.

Make It Crafty Guest Designer: Maddy Shopping

Hello! I'm here with this week's Make It Crafty guest designer project! Today I am sharing a creation I made featuring Maddy Shopping as well as one of the AWESOME chipboard single layered words. I have never worked with chipboard before but after watching Zoe's Facebook Live video last month I placed a fair sized ordered and decided to give it a go! The verdict: I'm obsessed and addicted!

I colored Maddy with my Copics and cut her out using a die from Resplendent Rectangles Nestabilities (Spellbinders). I added more dies from La-La Land Crafts (in case you haven't figured this out about me- dies are another thing with which I'm obsessed and addicted)! Here I've used Scallop Border, Heart Fan, Heart Doily Border, Heart Key, Skyline Border, and Bracket and Arrows.  The Picture Wheel die is a Tim Holtz Bigz (Sizzix).  Although Maddy has been on my wish list for a while and I was thrilled to finally color her up, I have to admit that my favorite part was the chipboard! I colored it in ombre reds, again using my Copics, and then applied a layer of Glossy Accents. The fabulous part about this chipboard is its versatility! You can ink it, color it, use glitter, add gloss... So many possibilities! The words are often available in multiple sizes and offer so many possible combinations! You can pair them with other chipboard words or use them with stamps to create the perfect sentiment!

Make It Crafty Guest Designer: Jolly Santa

Hi! Stopping in after a long holiday weekend here in the US with my Make It Crafty guest designer card for the week! I'm not ready to go back to work after an extra day off, but I AM ready for Fall to arrive. October is my favorite month and Halloween is my favorite holiday! I love creating Halloween themed crafts - and yet I chose a Christmas image to create with today! Lol

This is Jolly Santa and he is colored with Copics and fussy cut. He was just too fun to resist! As usual, I've added layers with my dies.  All are from La-La Land Crafts.  The sentiment is from the now closed Waltzingmouse Stamps.

It's always a good idea for me to get a head start on holiday cards! I tend to get super busy from November on and I thought this might be a good time to knock one out when I had a chance. Early, for once in my life! Lol
