Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Hearts and Flowers Day!  It's snowing here.  Again.  Another foot of snow is predicted so my Valentine's Day consisted of Chinese take-out and episodes of Downton Abbey while Kayne played his new Xbox game and asked me questions (or for food) every 10 minutes.  :-)  I'm off to do more crafting, but I wanted to share the selection of Valentine's Day cards I made this week.  (I'll be back later with all the details for each card.)

My favorite one of the bunch is an easel card I made using Love from Saturated Canary.

This floral beauty is Gardener Gayle from Saturated Canary's Little Darlings Rubber Stamps rubber collection.  Believe it or not, this is the first ever SC rubber I've inked.  (She's actually also available in digi now as well as part of a special Spring Pack that Krista recently released.)

Here is a quilted creation using Patchwork from Saturated Canary.

I hope you had a special day with your loved one!

The Corrosive Challenge #117 - Cupcakes

It's Sunday and that means there's plenty to be excited about! First, the world didn't end yesterday as predicted! Phew... That means I can go on crafting! And enjoying all the other things in life that make me happy... We all know #1 on that list would be my son, but sweet treats are ranked fairly high as well! lol And that ties in nicely with the theme of this week's Corrosive Challenge - Cupcakes! Simply use the delicious confection somewhere on your project to qualify for the prize from Queen Kat Stamps and to be in the running for guest designer.

I remembered that I had this sweet, but toxic Halloween cupcake stamp from Impression Obsession that had never been inked up. Since Halloween is my favorite holiday, I decided it wasn't too early to make a card for the occasion. The image actually contains three cupcakes, each with a different creepy topping, but due to size constraints I opted to use just one. My sketch is courtesy of Sketch Saturday (SS156).

It has been a busy, on-the-go weekend here.... And it looks like the trend will continue right through this coming week. This morning, for instance, I have to make a card and bake oatmeal chocolate chip cookies before we head off to a graduation party. I'll need to get moving and start my day soon, but I wanted to thank you for stopping by! Enjoy!
