Wicked

Hello!  I've been in a crafting slump this year!  To attempt to revitalize myself I am challenging myself to post a Halloween coloring, card, or creation (baking counts too) for the next thirteen days as we countdown to Halloween!

Day 1: Wicked

I colored Witchy Mae some time ago during one of the Some Odd Girl coloring challenges (which I was too lame to participate in this time) and I'm finally getting her on a card! Dies are a mix of La-La Land Crafts, Spellbinders, SugarPea Designs, and Stampin' Up.

Halloween is my favorite holiday and even though I was tired from a long work week it made me happy to create this card!

I'm almost ready for Halloween!  Are you?  I've been decorated since late August but I keep adding things!  Costumes were finally sorted today and candy was purchased for those who visit our house on Halloween night!

Do you have your costumes planned in advance? Or are you last minute kind of people?  I drive my son nuts when I start talking about costumes in July, but it has to be done!  Lol

Have a Spook-tacular day!  Check back tomorrow to see how I do with my challenge...

Make It Crafty Design Team Inspiration: Make A Scene

Hi!  I don't know what got into me but I was feeling adventurous and brave and I tried my hand at coloring an entire scene for this week's Make It Crafty project.  First, I combined two digis - Eerie Scene and Witchy Zelda Waving.  Then I cut out the scene as an "out of the box" square, with the witch's hat and broom peeking out over the edges.  Next I colored!  And colored!  And colored!  I was pretty pleased with my efforts and I like the results enough to want to try it again!  Crazy, right?!  You know who helped encourage me to step out of my comfort zone?  To digitally combine digis to make scenes?  To color a background?  Our very own Zoe!  Everyone needs a Zoe in their life!  I am so very grateful for her pushing me to grow as a crafter!  Want to see the results?

If you haven't already, be sure to check out Zoe's newest venture, The Coloring Lab!  She is offering awesome online coloring classes!

Some Odd Girl Design Team Inspiration: Mini Witch

Hello!  Checking in with you on my posting day for Some Odd Girl!  It's September so we all know what that means...  My Halloween decorations are up and my brain is full of witches, vampires, zombies, jack o'lanterns, and candy!  And I will be crafting accordingly!

Kristy over at Some Odd Girl has been busy drawing up an adorable set of Halloween Minis! She has released NINE of them so far and I don't think she's anywhere near done!  I've colored a few of them up already and decided to use the Mini Witch for a card.  I also colored a Make It Crafty chipboard sentiment with one of my Copics and then added Yellow Stickles on top of it for a sparkly greeting on the front of the card!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Monthly Make It Challenge: September

Hello!  It's been a busy week!  Now that I no longer have the commitments of running a design team or being a PTG board member, I decided that I needed to make some time for me.  I am trying to make a conscious effort to become more active over at Kit and Clowder - taking coloring classes, participating in the monthly book club - and with my favorite stamp companies.  This includes starting to enter some challenges again.

Today I am sharing a card I made for the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Monthly Make It Challenge over on Facebook in the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps' Krafty Friends group.  Kim challenged us to an Anything Goes theme with one stimpulation...  We had to use one of the new releases from July or August.  I chose to work with WitchyPoo!

This is an image by artist Annie Rodrigue.  She was originally released in red rubber, but recently Annie updated her and Kim released her a clear set accompanied by some fabulous sentiments!  I colored WitchyPoo with my Copics and fussy cut her.  She is popped up on foam dies.  I have layered on a few dies from my collection, of course.  Here I've used Stars Border, Filigree Border, Filigree Moon, Bats, Koi Circle, Spider Web Border, Fancy Label, and Stitched Nested Circles all from La-La Land Crafts.  For embellishments, I added a bit of lace and some black enamel dots.

I used the September sketch for my card as well.  All the details about KKS weekly challenges and the month long sketch can be found on the blog HERE.

Thanks for stopping by to see what I've been up to!  Have a wonderful weekend!

KennyK Stamps 31 Days of Halloween: Day 1

Happy October 1st!!!  My favorite month is finally here!  It's the most wonderful time of the year!  Halloween is only 30 days away and we are celebrating at KennyK Stamps' Club KennyK Facebook group!

Join us for 4 mini challenges, prizes, coloring party, live coloring videos, and more!  Our first challenge begins today and I'm here to kick it off with a card featuring Foxy Mama!  I wanted to make her into a witch so I borrowed Spell Caster's hat and fussy cut both after coloring them with Copics.

Our theme this week is Sentiments!  I took the challenge even further and decided to create my own!  I am no graphic designer -yet - but I was pretty pleased with how they turned out!  I am sharing two of them with our fans over at Club KennyK so if you're not a member, come join us!

Ok, back to my card!  I used a few of dies, of course...  The mat behind the image was made with Classic Ovals and Floral Ovals Nestabilities (Spellbinders).  I matted my sentiment with Fleur De Lis Squares Nestabilities (Spellbinders).  The crow is from also from Spellbinders, a set called Halloween Fence Scenes and Shapes Shapeabilities.   Wrought Iron Fence, Spider Web border, and Dress Form are all from La-La-Land Crafts.  The big Spider Web is by Cheery Lynn Designs.

A couple of flowers, a bling flourish, and a Tim Holtz broom are my finishing touches!  Come join us for some spooky fun all month long!  And the great news is if Halloween isn't your cup of pumpkin spice latte, you can enter with any KennyK Stamps creation as long as you follow the theme!  Happy crafting and have a fab-boo-lous day!

Club KennyK Challenge #17 - Anything Goes with a Twist: Favorite Holiday

Hello!  I am so excited to be sharing one of the new KennyK Stamps Halloween images with you today!  As many of you may know, Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday, and I love making cards and baking this time of year!  I sort of put in a request with Elena and KennyK that we needed a classic, sexy witch - KennyK style!  Never in my wildest dreams did I image the magic they would produce!  Meet Spell Caster!

This bewitching beauty comes as a set and you receive 4 separate images (the cat appears merged here but he is his own image)!  I chose to color the witch holding her wand at the ready!

She is colored with Copics and cut using the Classic Rectangles Nestabilities.  On her skirt I used my clear Wink of Stella pen to give it some sheer shimmer.  I loaded on the dies once again!  Here I've used Filigree Moon, Filigree Border, and Pumpkins (La-La-Land Crafts); Tim Holtz Star Cluster, Weathered Clock, Twigs, and Owl (Sizzix); and Labels Four (Spellbinders).  The witch's brew label is from a set called Wanda's Pantry (Waltzingmouse Stamps).  I added a bit of lace, a few flowers, a mini broom, a Halloween sticker (Michaels Recollections), and a Martha Stewart cat punch.

I had so much fun making this card and I can't wait to color up and create with the other images in the release!  We have three other new images this release: Book of Spells, Bride of Frankie, and Chummy Mummy!  Visit the shop to check them out and come see us on Facebook at Club KennyK!  A new challenge starts today!  The theme is always Anything Goes with an optional twist!  No need to guess what that twist is this time, right?  Well, it's actually Favorite Holiday.  But in my mind it's HALLOWEEN!!!  The KennyK's Krafty Krew design team have created some gorgeous things so be sure to check them out!

I hope you enjoy the rest of your week!

The Corrosive Challenge #205 - Birthdays

Hey there!  How goes it, crafty peeps?  Today is the start of my birthday week and what better way to kick it off than with a new Corrosive Challenge!?

We have a fabulous new sponsor lined up for you too!  We're welcoming back Sami Stamps!  Sami has generously provided the design team with images to work with and she is offering a $12 gift certificate to her STORE for our winner!

In honor of the day I was born, our challenge theme is "Birthdays".  Simply make a birthday card, any kind for anyone, and enter it for your chance to win!  I selected Whiskers Under My Broom to work with.  She is colored with Copics and cut out using the Classic Squares Nestabilities (Spellbinders).  I found a fun challenge over at Your Next Stamp (#15) that combined a fun sketch and inspirational photo.  You could use one or the other or both.  Since it was a phot of purple cupcakes, I figured I'd use my favorite color in my creation.  Papers are Lilybeedesign - Picket Fence tiny tablet.  The sentiment is computer generated and cut using the Fishtails Flags Stax Die-namics (My Favorite Things).  I added ribbon, flowers, pearls, and a couple of pipe cleaners.  I have seen this embellishment used on other cards and wanted to try it.  I think maybe they are a tad too wide, but I like them anyway.

And if you've read all the way to the end you will see that I have a special birthday BLOG CANDY up for grabs!  This item is a hot commodity so you might want to enter the random drawing...  It is Issue #47 of Complete Cardmaking magazine.  Yup, this is the one with the CD that contains those coveted Saturated Canary images!!!  I happen to have an extra one and I'm giving it away to one of you!

There are just a few rules in order to be eligible:

1) Please be a follower of my blog!  If you're not, then click the Join This Site button!  (You can also like my Charmed Stamping page on Facebook HERE.  This is optional, but will get you an extra entry in the draw.)
2) Please leave a comment on this post.
3) Please enter your name using the linky tool below.

That's it!  Easy-peasy, right?!  I am so excited to give this candy away!  Please share and spread the word!  Your blogs, your Facebook feeds, Twitter, Instagram...  Whatever your preferred social media platform is, kindly put me on it!  Blog candy closes on August 17th at 5am Eastern Time.  A winner will be selected from eligible entries using Random.org and will be announced here on my blog and on Facebook.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a fabulous day!

Time To Fly

Hey there!  Today's creation is one I got to make just for fun to enter a few challenges!  I was inspired by tonight's gorgeous full moon to color up this A Day For Daisies image of the same name.  I used my Copics and then fussy cut her so I could mat the image on top of one of the Dizzy Duo Die-namics from My Favorite Things.  Papers are DCWV's The Spooky Stack.  I love the colors and patterns in this pad!  I added a few flowers, a die cut branch with leaves, and a sentiment stamped on one of the Fishtail Flags Die-namics (also from MFT).  The sentiment itself is Waltzingmouse Stamps.  It's from a set called Gracie at Halloween.  My layout is based on sketch #85 over at Cardabilities.  I fell in love with this beautiful design as soon as I saw it!

It's hard to believe Halloween is less than two weeks away!  I have lots of projects planned to keep me busy plus there will be frightfully fun activities with Kayne to look forward to!  It kicks off tomorrow with the Great Pumpkin Fest!  I just adore this time of year!!!

Thanks for visiting and hope to see you back soon!

Feeling Witchy

Eeeek!  I almost missed today's blog post!  I worked late and then had errands to run.  By the time I got home, put everything away, and got settled I had a half hour to make and blog my card!  So NOT cool!  Luckily I had my image pre-colored, but it was still frenzied chaos at my craft desk as I whipped something up pronto!  It's not up to my usual standards but cute enough, I suppose.  I've used Alison from Tiddly Inks.  She's such a lovely little witch with her raven familiar.  Papers are Recollections Midnight Magic.  Spider web border punch is courtesy of maven Martha (Stewart, of course),  I added organdy ribbon, a Jolee's Boutique sticker, and some flowers from my stash.  The sketch is the current Sketch N Stash Challenge (#123).

I'm just happy I got something posted!  I really want to blog every day this month!  And that means I'm off to start another project for tomorrow...

Thanks for popping in!

Markers used: Copics (E00, E11, E21, E70, E74, E79, R32, V09, V12, V17, V20, N0, N2, N4, N6, N8).

Serving You Up A Happy Halloween

Hello!  Today's card is one I whipped up quickly with an image that I already had colored up and waiting on my desk.  This is Witchy Waitress from Saturated Canary.  She was just so cute that even though I didn't have a specific project planned at the time, I had to use my Copics on her!  The sketch is from Sweet Sketch Wednesday (#226).  Papers are DCWV The Spooky Stack.  I added black lace, a black bottle cap, flowers, black rhinestone swirls, and a sentiment label from Martha Stewart that was in my Halloween stash.  I also doodled a bit on the image panel.

This post is going to be short and sweet because I'm pressed for time, but I hope you have a wonderful day!  I'll undoubtedly be back with another creation soon...

Markers used: Copics (E00, E11, E21, E23, E25, E31, R20, R2, R24, Y28, N0, N2, N4, N6, N9, YG93, YG95, V06, V12, V15, YR00, YR02, YR04, YR07, Y38).
