Sassy Studio Designs sponsors Operation Write Home

Happy Monday! I just wanted to share a special challenge that Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring this week. I'm sure many of you are familiar with Operation Write Home. For anyone who is not, they are a wonderful organization that mails hand-made, blank inside cards to military persons serving overseas so that they can then send them to loved ones back home.

Sassy Studio Designs is asking for you to make a card for this worthy cause and mail it to one of their shippers. Be sure to check the OWH web site for card guidelines. They have some specific requirements that we ask you to follow. SSD is requesting that you create a "miss you" or "thinking of you" card as these are one of the categories they always have need for.

Once you make AND ship your card go to the Sassy Studio Designs blog and link your card here for a chance to win 2 SSD digis of your your choice.
Winner will be chosen by random draw. Please note that you do NOT have to use a Sassy Studio Designs image in order to participate. You have until next Monday, October 3rd at 3pm EDT to enter.

For my card I chose one of the recent Fabulous Freebie Friday images from the SSD PCP group. She's called Techie Tanya. I used my Classic Rectangles Nestabilities die to cut out just her torso so she would fit better on my A2 sized card. She is colored with Copics and Prismacolor Art Markers. The papers are DCWV, and my embellishments were kept simple with just a few gems. The layout is from Tuesday Morning Sketches, but I missed their deadline to enter. They will have a new sketch up tomorrow, though!

Thanks for taking a peek, and I hope you'll join us in supporting this cause!

{hugs}

Tickled Pink Stamps Sponsorships

Tickled Pink Stamps is sponsoring three fabulous challenge blogs right now, and I am here to tell you about them! I made a card that incorporates all three of them AND uses a Tickled Pink Stamps image. When Debbie, our fabulous TSP sponsorship coordinator asked for assistance, I happily volunteered to represent the Pinkettes. Isn't she adorable? This is Pippa. She's a little shy and a lot sweet. Those flowers are for you for your birthday, but she's embarrassed by the fuss you're making. They're just flowers, after all, jeesh! lol Lil Pinkette Pippa can be found in the Tickled Pink Stamps store, along with her friends the Lil Lolitas and Lil Lads, the Pink Pets, and Cherrie.

Now, on the the sponsorships! The first is the deconstructed sketch #13. I am in love with these and have been playing along for a few weeks now anyway so I jumped at the chance to work with this layout. The other two challenges are Bearly Mine Challenges (Charm the Spots off of You) and Card Makin' Mamas (Birthday).

I have used two designer papers with spots plus a Cuttlebug embossing folder. And my Prima rose has dots on it as well. I also stamped some spots on the edges of my image panel in Orchid Opulence classic ink by Stampin' Up. So I think I have the spots challenge covered. lol I made it a birthday card by incorporating a new $1 "Happy Halloween" banner stamp I bought the other day. I just stamped the "Happy" and cut out the flags then used part of a sentiment from the My Favorite Thing's Who's That Birthday Girl set to finish the birthday greeting.

I am off today so I hope to do a little crafting. Maybe. lol It is supposed to be gorgeous out and it is a rare ME day! Most of the time I am off because my small man is sick or day care is closed or the weather is inclement or we are going somewhere (like our trip to the zoo), but today, after a morning meeting, my son goes with his father, leaving me with 24 hours plus of "off duty" time. I feel a little guilty being off from work and not having him stay with me, but hey, even mommas need time off sometimes too! Besides, not a day has passed since he was born that I haven't seen him. Honestly, I'm not sure I like the idea, though I'm sure it's coming. For now, I'll enjoy a bit of down time then happily greet him on Saturday with hugs and kisses while he squirms and swats at me, giggling and saying "Go!" Too cute!

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my card (and for tolerating my ramblings!). Hope you have a fantastic Friday!

Sassy Sponsorship: Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes

Happy 4th of July!!! Another quick post to let you know about a Sassy Studio Designs sponsorship that begins today! We are sponsoring Craft Your Passion and it's an easy Anything Goes challenge. I was feeling patriotic due to the holiday and dressed up this week's Fabulous Freebie Friday image, Lounging Around, from our Paper Craft Planet group, in red, white, and blue. For a fun little twist, I paper pieced her bikini and chair seat. I selected SS-162 from Sketch Saturday for my layout. To see what some of the other Sassy ladies have created for this challenge visit the SSD blog here.

I am enjoying a lazy morning with my son, but I do have some card making planned for the day. It's a busy week... I'll have a new Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge card for you, featuring a sneak peek of one of the upcoming release images! I'll also have a sneak of the new Sassy Studio Designs images from the release that is scheduled to happen on July 9th! You won't want to miss either of them!

Tickled Pink Stamps Christmas Challenge #3 - Tags

I know I just posted challenge #2, but since a new month is upon us, so too is a new challenge! And since Tickled Pink Stamps runs on Australian time it's tomorrow there before it is here! I am so super excited about my 3 month guest designer spot on the Tickled Pink Stamps challenge blog that I jumped right in and started, even though I only found out a few days ago!

Challenge #3 is Tags - you can use tags on your project or your creation can BE a tag. I opted for the latter. I used Lil Christmas Lilith for my image. This is the digi version, which you can only purchase during their "Digi Days" once a month. She was a blast to color, and I paper pieced her bag with designer paper. It's been a little odd to be dragging out the holiday crafting supplies these past few days, but fun! And I'll be glad of it in December when I have a nice stash of cards all made up to send to people!

You have all month to play along! Simply link you card here for a chance to win one rubber Tickled Pink Stamps image of your choice. Please note: You MUST use a Tickled Pink Stamps image for this challenge.

Thanks for looking, and I'll be back tomorrow with a new Corrosive Challenge AND a new Sassy Studio Designs Christmas Challenge!

Card Supplies
Images: Lil Christmas Lilith (Tickled Pink Stamps); Christmas Tag Wishes (Inkadinkado)

Tickled Pink Challenge #15 - Emma's Sketch

Hello, my crafty friends! How is everyone today? I'm here to show you my entry for this week's Tickled Pink Stamps challenge! Challenge #15 was to create something using a TPS image and the lovely sketch above designed by Emma. I decided to use Faith. She is one of the new Lil Pinkette images that were released last week. Isn't she sweet? I've used the digi version, but these are only available for one week out of the month so grab her now if you love her because TPS Digi Days for this month end April 21st! I am still behind on birthday cards, but I have the next few upcoming ones covered already so we'll see if I can catch up yet!

I am taking my son to see the Easter Bunny today... Wish me luck as he is at the age where this could result in a freak out rather than a pleasant experience. Last year he was only seven months old and saw a big smile in the Bunny photo... I have a suspicion there will not be a repeat performance! loll But I have to be able to say I tried!

I hope you liked my card and thanks for taking a look! Have a fabulous day!

Card Supplies
Images: Lil Pinkette - Faith (Tickled Pink Stamps)
Ink: printer; Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink (Ranger); Copics (E21, E11, E00, R20, Y32, Y35, Y38); Prismacolor Art Markers (194, 198, 10, 208, 192)

Tickled Pink Challenge #14 - {PINK}

It's Wednesday, and we're one day closer to the weekend! I am really proud of myself with this card... For the first time since I've been participating in Tickled Pink Stamps challenges I'm not rushing to beat the clock to get my submission in! lol I think it shows too! Challenge #14 is {PINK}. Easy enough, right? I used this week's priscillastyles Midnight Madness sketch, MMSC99, for my layout. These are fabulous because Priscilla gives you an option to use the simple or fancy version of the sketch. I always choose the fancy version since it is the one that has the fun embellishment elements added to it.

For my card I chose Lil Lolita Willow as my image. Don't you just love those big eyes of hers? This is the digi version which is currently not available. BUT, fear not! TPS owner Kellie will be having a special Digi Days from the 15th through the 21st of each month. During this time the images will be available for purchase as downloadable JPG files as well as their rubber counterparts! Since I'm impatient and love instant gratification (and because I love the versatility) I am so glad she has decided to do this! I've been opting for digis more and more these days. The paper is from a new stack I purchased recently. It's called The Blossom Song Stack. and it's from DCWV.

It is supposed to be a rainy, gloomy day here. I wish I could stay home all day and craft, but must get ready to go to work. Then it's a 2nd attempt at Easter/Spring pictures with my son. Our appointment on Saturday -which was stupidly scheduled by me during his normal nap time - was an epic fail so I'm hoping he's in a better mood (and thus more cooperative) this evening. I will be back later this week with another Sassy Studio Designs sneak peek as we gear up for the new release on Saturday!

Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely day!

Tickled Pink Challenge #13 - Blinging It Up

Today was the last day to enter Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge #13 - Blinging It Up. I always seem to wait until the last minute with everything, but I manage to sneak my entry in every week anyway... sometimes with only minutes to spare! This week the challenge was easy! Use bling! I have a huge stash of it, but because I was making a masculine card using Wilfred the Wombat Sad, I decided to make the black gem flourish the focal point of the project and use my image in a subtler context. My layout is courtesy of Sketchy Colors #65, sponsored by Tickled Pink Stamps this week.

I haven't stamped in three days so I am going to keep this post short so I can go focus on some other items on my crafty To Do List... My genuine thanks, as always, for visiting and for any kind comments you see fit to bestow!

Card Supplies

Tickled Pink Challenge #12 - One for the Lads

All the men in my immediate family are computer guys. My dad and my two brothers are what I like to call technologically gifted (as opposed to technologically challenged, which is what I am! lol). They either indulge in it as a hobby, do it for a living, or are about to graduate from college with a degree in it. So that is why I used Lil Lad Eric for Challenge #12 - One for the Lads over at Tickled Pink Stamps. This will most likely be a birthday card for one of my brothers. I used sketch #211 from Card Positioning Systems to get me started. Designer paper from the Generation Tech stack by DCWV and some keys pried off an old keyboard help give my card the geeky chic look I was going for.

I also participated in the corner bookmark challenge that Tickled Pink Stamps owner, Kellie, threw out on her facebook group. I used the tutorial found on splitcoaststampers to create a page saver any vampire fiction lover would enjoy! Lil Lad Lestat was chosen to adorn my project. He technically also qualifies for the One for the Lads challenge too, but it was time for the nerds to have the spotlight today! lol Mr. Dark, Brooding, and Mysterious will just have to settle for runner up this time! lol

I have two more cards to complete tonight so I'll try to edit the post later with the card supplies used. Be sure to check back to see what else I'm up to...

Tickled Pink Challenge #10 - Off The Scrap Desk

c

I wanted so badly to play along with Tickled Pink Stamps c
hallenge this week, and I just haven't had time. Well, as I watched the hours tick by today and the deadline for submissions draw closer, I grew more and more determined that I was going to get a card done tonight after I got my son settled for the evening!

We came straight home after I picked him up from day care. Dinner and bath time were done quickly and efficiently. I started prepping while he was playing. Sketch? Check. Image? Check. Papers? Check. Embellishments? Check. As soon as he was in his crib, happily sucking his thumb, I was seated at my desk and working like a mad woman! I have to say that I am quite pleased with the result! Apparently I work well under pressure... THAT must be why I procrastinate all the time! lol

TPS Challenge #11 (I know my title says #10 - Oops, darn autofill!) called for us to use something Off The Scrap Desk. In other words, items not intended for use in card making. I chose a beautiful purple barrette and some pearl topped bobby pins that I found at the dollar store. For my layout I opted for Sketch 107 from Card Patterns.

I can now go to bed feeling fulfilled and accomplished! Haha! I can't wait to see the next challenge that TPS has in store for us... I am loving them!

Thanks for stopping by and hope everyone is having a fabulous week! If you like my creation, please take a moment to leave me a comment... I value them immensely!

365 Cards - ABCs of Crafting: DEF

And I'm back with more ABCs of Crafting and Day 22 of 365 Cards, being sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs! Today our letters of the day are DEF...as in Distressing, Envelope, and Fringe. I opted to use the 365 Card sketch from Day 20 as well. My image is Tinkerbell Honey from Sassy Studio Designs' Fairytale Collection, but I had this idea to make her into the Tooth Fairy for my card. I distressed the edges of my Kraft card stock layer as well as the tag with Distress Ink in Vintage Photo. I also gave the Kraft card stock a crumpled and ripped look. That took care of the distressing. My envelope was clear so I decorated it with designer paper and pearls before adhering it to my tag. The fringe is from Joann Fabrics, and is so fun and colorful!

I glittered Tink's wings and added a few other embellishments for the finished
product you see here. My sentiment is computer generated and mounted on one of the Fancy Tag dies. This card was one where once I got started my crafting mojo really just took over, and then when it was done I was really pleased with the results! I hope you like it as well and will leave me a lovely comment if you do. Thanks for coming back to take a peek.

365 Cards - ABCs of Crafting: ABC

Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring 365 Cards this week and it's the ABCs of Crafting! Today, Day 21, we're focusing on A, B, and C... as in Alphabet (letter stickers or stamps); Blue; and Circles. For my card I chose the Pocahontas image from SSD. Though you can't see it very well in the photo, the small circle contains gold glitter letter stickers that spell "Love". The blue comes in the form of sponged clouds behind my image. And an old sketch (#146) from Sketch Saturday that I had seen and liked, but didn't have the chance to play along with at the time provides the circles. Though I think my favorite part of the whole card is that faux suede fringe... . I got a little ahead of myself and used a requirement for tomorrow's challenge on this card! lol So check back to see what fun elements DEF calls for!

Card Supplies
Images: Pocahontas (Sassy Studio Designs)
Ink: printer; Baja Breeze (Stampin' Up); Copics (R02, R20, YG95, E04, E11, E13, E15, E25, E33); Prismacolor Art Markers (169)

Dare To Be Sassy Thursday #64 - Handmade Embellishments

Good evening, and I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend! Though I still have four birthday cards to catch up on, I did manage to make a design team card this afternoon while my son was down for his nap. My image is a freebie from Sassy Studio Designs, called Bunny Cameo. She is no longer available, but if you are interested in snagging a complimentary image once a week, simply join the SSD group here on Paper Craft Planet. Every Friday there is a new image available for 24 hours, gratis. There is also a bi-weekly challenge there as well where you can win MORE free images of your choice! One just began on Friday with a Spring Has Sprung theme. You are required to use a Sassy Studio Designs image for the PCP challenge, and you receive a bonus entry for the prize if you use that week's freebie.

I also created this card for Sassy Studio Designs'

Dare To Be Sassy Thursday Challenge #64 - Handmade Embellishments. I made the rolled roses using a Die-namics die from My Favorite Things. The leaves are a Martha Stewart punch and the "vines" are made of teal colored wire.

This was my first attempt with the rolled roses, and I think with some practice it will be an embellishment I love using! It's great for me since I am a bit of a stickler for color matching when it comes to papers and accessories.

My layout is Sketch #147 from Sketch Saturday. I would also like to enter the following challenges with this card:

Thanks for looking! I hope to be back in my crafting groove this week so check back to see what else I've been up to... Happy Spring, everyone!

Tickled Pink Challenge #10 - Black, White Plus One Colour...

...WITH a guest design call!!! I have fallen in love with Tickled Pink Stamps! I was delighted to be the winner of last week's challenge with my Lil Allsorts Pirate Frankie card! I was also picked for a prize on their new release blog hop! If I wasn't already completely hooked, I am now! lol So you can imagine my excitement to see that they were looking to fill a guest designer spot! They have so many creative ladies on their team already, it's a tad intimidating! Plus I've seen the entries thus far, and I'm up against some pretty stiff competition! It may be a long shot with all that {Pink} talent out there, but I had to try!

For my card I chose Lil Birthday Kellita. She is just fabulous and was designed by artist Christina Dee for TPS's 1st birthday! TPS Challenge #10 was to use black and white with one other color. I selected purple since it's my favorite and is also a fave of the card's intended recipient. I have a party to attend in honor of a 21st birthday, and this challenge inspired me to make her card almost 3 weeks early! (Those of you who know me or follow my blog know this is a big deal as I am a die-hard procrastinator! lol) It was hard to keep it to only those three colors, but I managed to with the exception of my image itself. I found the charming ticket sentiment on mudmaven designs' blog. You can download them and her other digital freebies for yourself here. My layout is based on Sketch #145 from Friday Sketchers.

I had a slow start to the week, craft-wise. The small man and I have not been sleeping well due to his cough, but he seems to be on the mend so I hope to get a few more cards made before the weekend arrives. I hope you'll check back! Thanks for stopping by and please let me know you were here with a comment!

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #94

Hello again! What a busy day this has been! I made two cards, participated in two party blogs, went on two blog hops, and wrote three blog posts! It has been an eventful day full of my favorite things - my son, shopping, and card making! I finally gave in to temptation and purchased a few Copic markers! I got mostly skin tone colors to start, but now I'm wishing I had some for hair as well. No, what I'm really wishing is I'll have a sudden windfall of cash so I can buy all 346 colors at once! Haha! A girl can dream, right?

Anywho... I love the Midnight Madness sketches so when I can I try to play along. Despite the crazy week I've had, I did manage to participate this week. Though you're not required to use a priscillastyles image in order to play along, I did. And why wouldn't you? They are such a value for the price! I received six different version of this Bulldog image with my purchase!

I wasn't sure at first that I was going to be able to coordinate MMSC94 to work with this image, but it just came together and I really like the way it turned out. The fun designer paper is a new stack from DCWV. The bling is Prima and the buttons are Stampin' Up to match my card stock. I'm not sure any self-respecting bulldog would wear a party hat... But, in this case, it just had to be done! It IS a birthday card after all!

Thanks for looking, and for all your much appreciated comments!

Tickled Pink Challenge #9 - Sewing

It has been a rough weekend for me, and I was not as productive as I had hoped... My cat Loki, who is almost 16 years old, became very sick suddenly, and I'm afraid that when she goes to the vet later today, she will most likely not be coming home with me. I am heartbroken, as she was my first pet as an adult living on my own and has been like a kid with fur to me all this time. I just don't have the financial means to prolong her life, if it's even an option. I will be sad to say good-bye, but I take comfort in knowing she lived a long, happy life. She was well cared for and loved. She will be missed...

I'm sorry to start my post off on such a sad note, but it was on my mind, and I wanted to pay her tribute. To take my mind off things, I made a card in between caring for her and my son today. I have been wanting to enter another Tickled Pink Stamps challenge, but haven't had time with my design team duties. Today I decided it was a good day to do something I wanted to do rather than had to. This card is being entered in TPS challenge #9 - Sewing, but it was originally intended to be for TPS challenge #8 which was Tags. So I adapted and incorporated both. I'm new to the sewing machine, as you can see, so I only added one crooked line of zigzag stitching at the top, but hey, I tried! lol

I used one of Tickled Pink Stamps' fabulous digis.... He is called Lil AllSorts Pirate Frankie and is available here. Last week's Friday Sketchers sketch #143 (which incidentally was sponsored by Tickled Pink Stamps) provided my layout. My background consists of some Halloween designer paper that has screamed "Pirate" at me since I bought it last Fall and a pre-colored digi treasure map paper from TiddlyInks. I did a bit of ink distressing to my tag, the lace, my circle sentiment (a digi freebie from Cindy Close at Bluebirdflats), and the treasure map (which I cut with my large deckle scissors first).

Thanks for looking, and hopefully I can get back on track for the week because Sassy Studio Designs has a new release happening this weekend! This means I have fabulous new images to play with, and I want to get some sneak peeks out to you!

Loki, you will always be in my heart!

The Corrosive Challenge #105 - Distressing

Welcome to my first Corrosive Challenge design team post! I know my official start date is next week, but I am just so excited that they let me post my work on the blog starting with this week's challenge! The theme for this Sunday is Distressing! I always feel slightly guilty when I crumple, rip, sand, stain or ink perfectly good card stock, but I have to say the results can add a wonderful element to your card, especially if you are going for the shabby chic or vintage look. I find myself admiring these styles in others' cards so often, but I had rarely attempted them until recently. The card I've made for today's challenge definitely qualifies! I used an image from "priscillastyles" called Rose Corset for my creation. I also opted to use her sketch from the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge. There are always two versions to chose from: regular or fancy. For MMSC92, I went with the fancy one which had a couple of additional embellishments on it. You don't have to use a "priscillastyles" image on your project to play along, but I have been wanting to use this lovely corset digi for some time so what better time than now?! lol

I distressed the heck out of my Creamy Caramel panel. First, I sanded it. Then I crumpled and ripped the edges. Followed by a generous spritzing of Walnut Ink antiquing solution. And finally, I sponged some Chocolate Chip ink around the edges. I think the finished product has the look of old parchment. I paper pieced the corset image using some fabulous paper from K&Company called ancestry.com. (The background one is from the same collection.) I colored the roses with my Prismacolor Art Markers and popped up the larger bunch on some 3D dots. For finishing touches I added some black velvet trim, black organdy ribbon, a mulberry paper flower, punched branches, and adhesive pearls. This card is for my friend who is having a birthday next weekend. Inside I added a computer generated sentiments that says "Of Corset's Your Birthday!" She'll get a kick out of it because once upon a time (before my little guy arrived and I actually went out and had a social life! lol) we might have gone out on the town in something very similar!

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek and as always I treasure each and every comment left for me on my work.

Dare To Be Sassy Thursday #61 - Shaped Card and Sassy Sponsorship: C.R.A.F.T. Challenge - Color Aschelon

Well, fellow crafters, it's Thursday again and you know what that means! It's time for another Dare To Be Sassy Thursday challenge from Sassy Studio Designs! This week Challenge #61 is to create a shaped card. It can be anything you can dream up - as long as it isn't rectangular or square! I chose to make a round easel card. This is only my second easel card ever and my first time thinking "outside the box" with shape so it was a lot of fun to make! I used a fabulous Sassy image called Cupcake Honey for the project.

Since I fell victim to my trademark procrastination I decided to combine my DTBST card with another challenge that SSD is sponsoring. The C.R.A.F.T. Challenge has a color challenge for you and as you can see from the lovely palette above it's all about my favorite color - purple! So I had to play along with Challenge 91 - Color Aschelon!

I am off to start my day now... It has been another busy week here, and I'm tired but feel good about all the cards getting made! I'm undecided if tonight is another crafting evening or one where the couch and I will be inseparable. Sometimes I wish I could craft laying down.... lol

Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!

One Stop Craft Challenge Week 115 - More Than One Fold

And it's time for another Sassy Studios Designs sponsorship: One Stop Craft Challenge Week 115 - More Than One Fold! For this challenge I made my first attempt at an easel card! I was actually surprised at how easy it was! A small amount of effort goes a long way and produces these fabulous results! I checked out a tutorial on YouTube for instructions (what did we do before everything was so readily available to us on the Internet!?! lol). Sorry that I'm a little late with my post, but you still have until Friday if you want to play along!

This is going to be a short post. There is a slight coating of snow I need to go shovel before we can start our day. This is just a minor inconvenience, but we're bracing for yet another big snow storm here tomorrow. It's been an interesting month, weather-wise! And while snow days with my son are priceless, they're less fun when they're unpaid from work! I'm almost out of vacation time so maybe Mother Nature will cut us some slack soon! :)

Hope you are having a wonderful week so far where you are! Thanks for looking and be sure to check back as I'll have a couple of other projects to share this week!

Inspirational Card Sketches - ICS98

Hello! Sorry I've been quiet for a few days... Between another snow and ice storm here in MA and my son coming down with strep throat I've been a little preoccupied! Luckily, we were able to see his doctor today and get a prescription so I hope he will be feeling better soon!

This is going to be a brief post, but I just wanted to let you know about a fabulous Sassy Studio Designs sponsorship over at Inspirational Card Sketches! For your chance to win four SSD digital images of your choice, just create something based on the above sketch and link it up over on the ICS blog before January 24th! It's as easy as that!

For my card, I used another of the new images from the Blast from the Past collection. She's called Sock Hop Sweetie 2, and she was so much fun to work with! I knew what I was going to do as soon as I saw the sketch! This was one of those times when I was truly inspired! I used a variety of techniques on this card - dry embossing, distressing, and paper piercing. I even colored one of the pearls with my Prismacolor markers! It ended up looking suspiciously like a Valentine's Day card, didn't it? But I just had to use those yummy looking Basic Grey designer papers, though!

Thanks for looking and hope you are having a wonderful week so far!

Sketch Saturday #138 - Hey, Foxy Lady

It's a lazy Sunday here, and I am enjoying some computer time & coffee while my son watches a Disney movie. I was up late last night to finish this card. I had hoped to have it ready for the Sassy Studio Designs new release party blog last night, but as will happen, life got in the way. I was inspired to finish it, though, and stayed up because I am just THAT excited about the new images!

Here I have used the new SSD digital image, Disco Diva 2. Artist/owner Lindsay has outdone herself with this release! Pop on over to the shopping blog to check out all the ladies included in the Blast from the Past collection.

My layout is based on the Sketch Saturday #138 challenge. The large rhinestones were a bargain find at Michaels - four for only twenty cents! I paired the image with a saying from one of my My Favorite Things sets.

Thanks for looking! I hope you like the updated look of my blog too! I'd like to give special thanks to my crafty friend, Michelle, who created the banner for me! Be sure to check back as I'm sure I won't be able to resist creating something with the two images I have yet to use (Victorian Beauty and Flapper Femme)!
