KennyK's Krafty Krew #190 - Anything Goes with a Twist: Shape Up

Hello!  I'm sorry I've been quiet...  Valentine's Day wiped me out and I needed some recovery time.  And then this week I somehow threw my back out.  Several chiropractor visits later I am finally feeling human again.  The Winter That Won't End isn't helping either.  I thought we lived in New England, not Siberia!  There is more snow on the way tonight!  (Make it stop!!!)  Although I have enjoyed a bit of couch time and binge watching seasons of Downton Abbey, it was time to get crafting again.  Today I'm here again with both my DT posts.  First up is KennyK's Krafty Krew!

Our sponsor is, of course, KennyKdownloadsUse any KennyK image to play along for your chance to win 3 images of choice!  However, if you use the optional twist and you're our winner, your prize increases to 5 images!  Plus each of our Top 3 receives 1 image of choice for the distinction!

Our theme is always "Anything Goes" but there is a different twist each time.  Today we want you to "Shape Up!"!  That is: we want to see your shaped cards (no square or rectangle allowed).  I've colored up Handyman for a masculine birthday card.  I don't typically make a lot of shaped cards but this one was fun!  I used a Classic Circle Nestabilities die (Spellbinders) as my base and layered a Cogs Nestabilities die (Spellbinders) on top of it.  Then I added a couple of Sprightly Sprockets (Spellbinders), Tim Holtz gears, black mesh, and a Stampin' Up sentiment cut with Fishtail Flags Stax Die-namics (My Favorite Things).  The little tire is from a model car kit found in the dollar bins at Michaels.  Papers are Boy Crazy (My Mind's Eye).

I'll be back in a few hours with my Corrosive Challenge card!  See you then!

Copics used: E00, E04, E11, E21, E35, E50, E53, E55, Y28, Y35, BG10, BG72, BG75, B32, B34, B37, R27, R46, R89, N0, N2, N4.

- Di's Digi Designs: Birthdays
- Brown Sugar: #135-Anything Goes
- Digitally Sweet: #129-Anything Goes
- Sister Act Card Challenge: #95-Anything Goes
- DL Art: #151-Boy or Man

KennyK's Krafty Krew #189 - Anything Goes with a Twist: Sports

Hello!  Welcome to a new KennyK's Krafty Krew challenge!  It's been a busy week for me (holiday ones always are) so I'm running a bit behind, but I had to post so I could tell you about the fabulous new release as well as our new theme!  Check out 4 new clear stamps and 2 new digis released today!

It's always Anything Goes with us but there's a twist!  Today that twist is "Sports".  I elected to use Sports Fan.  I figured that way I have all the sports covered!  He is colored with Copics and cut and matted using Classic Squares Nestabilities (Spellbinders).  The sentiment is from a Stampin' Up set called Sporting and is cut with the Ribbon Banners set (Spellbinders).  I also added a star (Stars Five from Spellbinders) and a banner from La-La-Land Crafts.  Papers are Champs from Me & My Big Idea.  Sketch is Sketch Saturday (#348).

Play along for chance to win!  This week there is a special prize: the 4 new clear stamps can be yours!  And if you use the twist you and you're our winner you will receive two bonus digi images of your choice as well!  Plus our Top 3 each receive one digi a piece for the honor!

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend!

Copics used: E00, E04, E11, E21, E27, E35, E37, E50, E51, E53, R20, R37, R39, R89, B00, BG10, BG72, BG75, Y28, Y35, Y38, YG03, N0, N2, N4, N6, N8.

KennyK's Krafty Krew #188 - Anything Goes with a Twist: Love

Hello!  Today is a busy day for me as both my DT posts happen to fall on the same date!  So first up is a new KennyK's Krafty Krew challenge!  It's always Anything Goes, but the twist keeps you on your toes!  This time around our theme is "Love".  It can be any kind of love, not necessarily romantic in nature.

For my card I used Madison Attitude!  Because shopping!  I mean, who doesn't love a little retail therapy, right?  (This is actually going to a coworker for his wife's Valentine.)  I colored Madison with Copics and fussy cut her.  I went a little fussy on the whole card actually and added lots of goodies!  Piled on there are papers from My Mind's Eye - Kiss & Tell, two La-La-Land Crafts dies (Hearts Doily Border and Heart Banner), the Heart Doily Die-namics from My Favorite Things, Small Labels Nestabilities by Spellbinder, flowers, pearls, cheesecloth, a Stampin' Up metal clip, and a Recollections chipboard sticker!  The sentiment is from My Favorite Things, a set called More Essential Sentiments.

Spread a little love and join us over at KennyK's Krafty Krew!  See what labors of love the rest of the gals have to share with you and then play along!  Remember: you MUST use a KennyK image to enter!

We are bracing for another major winter storm here!  They are predicting another potential foot of snow!  Yikes!  Because the almost 3 feet we got less than a week ago wasn't sufficient?  Looks like it may be online retail therapy for me!

Thanks for stopping by and check back with me shortly for a new Corrosive Challenge!

Copics used: E00, E04, E11, E21, E35, E57, R20, R24, R27, R29, R39, R81, R83, R85, R89, B32, B34, B37, Y32, Y35, N0, N2, N4, N6, N8

Hi there!  Today I am back with the first KennyK's Krafty Krew challenge of the year.  But this isn't just any ol' challenge blog post, no siree.  This is the one where I get to announce that I am the new DT Coorinator and Facebook Administrator for KennyK!  Lovely Tammy has had to step away from the position and though we are all sad to see her go (we'll miss you, Tammy!) I was beyond thrilled when I was asked to step into the role!  Thank you Elena, Kenny, and Tammy for this fabulous opportunity!  In case you didn't see the announcement post over on the KennyK's Krafty Krew blog, we have some new Krew members to welcome to the team!  Please pop over and say "hello" to Olivia, Rachelle, and Dawn as well as three of our Core4 who have gone full-time (Andy, Lucy, and Chrissy)!

Foxy is colored with Copics and fussy cut.  I selected the sketch from Cheerful Sketches (#20) and decided to feature a fun sentiment with my image.  The sentiment is computer generated, cut and matted with Labels Ten Nestabilities (Spellbinders).  Papers are from two different My Mind's Eye pad - Lost & Found Union Square and Love Me.  I added a couple of flowers, a few flat backed black pearls, Tim Holtz film strip ribbon, and a darling little camera cut from the Accent It - Cute Cameras Die-namics (My Favorite Things).

KennyK's Krafty Krew #186 - Anything Goes with a Twist: New Beginnings

A week and a half until Christmas and every creature in this house is stirring!  The small man is off the walls with excitement and Momma is busy shopping, wrapping, baking, cleaning, and I even snuck in some crafting!  I'm here to share my card for the final KennyK's Krafty Krew challenge of 2014!  As always, it's Anything Goes, but our twist this time is "New Beginnings".

Use any KennyK image to play along for your chance to win 3 images of choice, but get rewarded with 5 if you use the twist!

I opted to make a New Year's card.  My printer decided to die on me last month and this is not the time of year I can afford to replace it.  I wasn't prepared at all (I've been printing my images at Staples) for this challenge so I was forced to rummage through the archives of images printed but never used for a suitable one.  Elf Queen was there to save the day!

I colored her with Copics and added some Shabby Blue Fran-Tage to the image panel.  I used the Fishtail Flags Stax Die-namics (My Favorite Things) behind it and cut the Studio G sentiment with Labels Twenty-One Nestabilities (Spellbinders).  The sketch is Sketch Saturday (#340) and the papers are Winter Wishes by Echo Park.  A few flowers add the finishing touch.

s

Pop over to the blog to admire the team's inspiration and then color up a KennyK image of your own to play along!  This challenge will run for four week to give you plenty of time to celebrate the holidays and get your crafting in too!

Markers used: Copics (E00, E04, E11, E21, E23, E25, E31, E79, N0, N2, V17, V20, B00, R20, R32, R43).

KennyK's Krafty Krew #185 - Anything Goes

Hello!  Popping in with a new KennyK's Krafty Krew challenge for you!  This time we're Anything Goes, anything at all, no twists involved!  And we have some fabulous prizes too!  Play along for your chance to be one of 4 winners of two KennyK Clear Stamp sets or the lucky winner of a £10 gift voucher from Crafty Ribbons!

I have been very busy with holiday shopping and decorating this weekend so I decided to go CAS white on white for this one.  I colored up On Vixen with my Copics and then embossed her with my new Snowflake Trim embossing folder (Darice).  I matted the image panel on top of another embossed one, this time using the Chevron folder (Darice).  I added a bit of Snow Writer to her fur and trim and popped up a few punched Martha Stewart snowflakes with foam squares.

The countdown is on for the holidays!  December has arrived and since this is my first Christmas card I guess I have some work cut out for me!  Maybe I'll just do photo cards again... LOL  But I do hope you'll visit the blog to see the team's fabulous makes and perhaps play along too.  REMEMBER: You MUST use a KennyK image to do so!

Have a wonderful day!

Markers used: Copics (E00, E04, E11, E21, E70, E74, E79, R00, R20, R29, YR24, YG93).

KennyK's Krafty Krew #184 - Anything Goes with a Twist: Black & White

Hi there!  Two posts in one week?  I must be on a roll!  Or I could just be excited about a new challenge (and a new release) over at KennyK!  There are two new images plus a sentiment sheet that you need to check out!  And while you're at it, why not play along with our Anything Goes challenge?  The twist is Black & White!  Use any KennyK image to play along for your chance to win 3 images of choice, but get rewarded with 5 if you use the twist!

I needed a birthday card for my dad so I used an image from the Retro collection called Smart Aleck.  I love the comic book feel!  I colored him with Copics then stamped a Stampin' Up sentiment on the image panel.  I added a few die cuts from My Favorite Things (Reel Life, Skyline Border, Rock and Roll).  I also used a bit of Tim Holtz film strip.  Papers are My Mind'sEye - Meadow Lark.

Head over to KennyK's Krafy Krew to see the other Black & White creations from the team!  The rest of the ladies used the new release images so you won't want to miss them!

Markers used: Copics (E00, E04, E11, E21, N0, N2, N4, N6, N8, 100).

The Corrosive Challenge #210 - Halloween

Hello! I'm late but I'm here!  Busy time of year here with lots of other things going on too.  I know I've been MIA so far this month, which is quite a change from the past two years where I challenged myself to post every day.  But today I have a card to share with you for the new Corrosive Challenge.  Our sponsor is none other than the awesome KennyK!  And our theme is my absolute fave: Halloween!

I'm also on the KennyK design team so I have plenty of images to play with!  I selected Princess Pia from the Gothik Angelz collection.  She is colored with Copics and fussy cut.  Her eyes are coated with Glossy Accents.  Papers are My Mind's Eye - .  Halloween {Scary Sparkles}.  Sketch is Tuesday Morning Sketches (#270).  Because the paper had that fabulous flourish design, I felt it didn't need much in the way of embellishment.  I simply added a couple of flowers and a fun new sentiment by Inkadinkado that I picked up at AC Moore.  Die cuts used were Floral Ovals and Classic Ovals Nestabilities (Spellbinders) and Fishtail Flags Stax Die-namics (My Favorite Things).

I hope you'll pop over to The Corrosive Challenge blog to see what spook-tacular creations the team has to share!  And play along for your chance to win 3 KennyK digis of your choice!

Markers used: Copics (E00, E04, E11, E21, E23, R20, V12, V15, YR00, YR02, YR04, YR07, Y35, Y38, N0, N2, N4, N6).

KennyK's Krafty Krew #181 - Anything Goes with a Twist: Orange and Black

It's here; it's finally here!  My favorite month has arrived!  We are all decorated for Halloween, costume planning has begun, but I'm afraid I'm in a bit of a crafting slump.  Too much on my mind at the moment and it's effecting my mojo.  Over at KennyK's Krafty Krew , though, there is plenty of mojo and Halloween colors!  The twist for the latest KennyK's Krafty Krew challenge is Orange & Black. Use any KennyK image to play along for your chance to win 3 images of choice (5 if you use the twist)!

For the last two years I have crafted and created like crazy during October so that I could blog every day.  I'm afraid that won't be possible this year.  But I do hope to have some Halloween fun to share with you throughout the month...

Have a spooktacular 1st day of October!

KennyK's Krafty Krew #178 - Anything Goes with a Twist: Kids

Hello!  Sorry I've been so quiet!  Vacation and an upper respiratory infection (complete with my very first bout of pink eye ever) had me busy and down for the count last week.  Things are back to normal now and small man's four weeks of swimming lessons are over as well.  We can breathe.  For a week any way before all the back to school hoopla begins!  It's his first year- Kindergarten.  And I think I'm more nervous about it all than he is!  lol  But for now we are enjoying the final weeks of Summer, complete with a bit of crafting for me!

Today I'm here to tell you about a new "Anything Goes" challenge over at KennyK's Krafty Krew.  As most of you know by now, there is always an optional twist that goes along with every new challenge.  This time it's KIDS!  This one was easy for me!  I could have made a card for Kayne but we actually needed one for a 7 year old boy whose party we were attending so it was perfect timing.  I selected Victory Kid because he looks like he's celebrating.  He's colored with Copics and cut using my Classic Rectangles Nestabilities (Spellbinders).  Papers are a new pad from My Mind's Eye called Boy Crazy.  I added a wood veneer word bubble (Recollections) and a gem baubles (K&Company) plus a Martha Stewart border punch and a couple of dies.  I used the Fishtail Flags Stax Die-namics from My Favorite Things and the Flag Banner from La-La-Land Crafts.  The sentiment is also from MFT, a set called Journal It - Playlist.  My layout was inspired by Sketch Saturday (#321).

Head over to the KennyK blog to see the Krew's makes and to play along!  Our winner will receive 3 digis of choice (5 if the optional twist is used) plus each of our Top 3 gets 1 digi each for the honor!  Remember, you MUST use a KennyK image for the challenge!  Don't have any?  Head to KennyKDownloads to go shopping (and grab this month's freebie while you're there)!

Thanks for stopping in and hope your weekend is off to a fabulous start!

Markers used: Copics (EOO, E04, E11, E21, E23, E79, N0, N2, N4, N6, R20, R32, R35, R37, R39, R89, BG10, BG72, B32, B34, B37).
