Hello! Happy New Year! Welcome to 2020! I haven't blogged in months nor have I really been creating. I think this year needs to be the one where I really get the craft room purged and reorganized and use the awesome supplies that I have! It seems like no one reads my blog posts, but I like having a record of the things I've created so maybe I'll continue for me. Videos and tutorials seem to be the most popular way to share projects now, but technologically I need to beef up my equipment and skills before I can make that leap.
I found some cards featuring Mo's Digital Pencil images from 2018 that I never shared so thought I'd get them out there. I am a little fuzzy on the details used to create them at this point but I do know all the dies are from La-La Land Crafts and I used Copics to color the images.
The first was a birthday card for a friend of my son. He's a huge Yankees fan!
This next card was made at the request of a co-worker for his wife to celebrate their 10th anniversary. The image represents their son and their dog. Again, all dies are LLLC and the image was colored with Copics with black pencil for the fur detail.
If you're here and reading this, thank you! Wishing all the best for a bright new year!

Oldie But Goodie
Hi! It's been a quiet month craftwise. I seem to have pinched a nerve in my neck or some such nonsense and despite multiple chiropractor visits I am still having pain in my right arm, wrist, and hand. Being right handed, this is a bit of a bummer. I haven't felt much like doing anything. Writing and typing for long periods are troublesome. After work, I want to rest my arm as much as I can so I haven't been coloring. But today was my boss' birthday and he always springs for cake on ours so I had to make him a card. It required no coloring and I got to use a few of my new My Favorite Things Stamps products! Bonus!
I used the new Turntable Die-namics to make this card. The sentiment is from the coordinating stamp set, For the Record. The sentiment was die cut using the Essential Slanted Sentiments Die-namics. I layered the A2 Stitched Rectangle Stax Set 2 Die-namics over my card base. The background was made using the Card Sized Confetti Stencil Set.
Thanks for stopping by!

Margarita Time
Hello! Popping in to share another My Favorite Things Stamps card! This one was made for my best friend for her birthday. She loves a good margarita so I couldn't resist using the Margarita Shaker Window & Frame Die-namic! The coordinating Margarita Shaker Pouches make creating a shaker card super easy! I even threw in some Frosty Ice Cubes!
The background was creating using the Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namic and the Snowfall stencil with Distress Ink. The sentiment is from the Spirited Sentiments stamp set and I paired it with the Cheers Die-namic.
She absolutely loved it and I had a blast making it! I have a feeling more of these kinds of cards are in my future! Thanks for taking a look!

Yay! It's Your Birthday!
Hi! I recently received an order from My Favorite Things Stamps and I couldn't wait to play! I made this birthday card using their Yay for You stamp set and So Many Yays Die-namics! The sentiment is stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I used the Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strips to die cut it. The star is from the retired Accent It: Rock and Roll Die-namics. The whole thing is matted with the largest die from the A2 Stitched Rectangles Set 2.
I love to color but am really enjoying making something a little different lately. The sketch is based on MFT Stamps current Wednesday challenge HERE.

Hooray for Birthdays!
Hi! There has been quite a bit going on here. This month I decided to start cleaning my craft room AND my son's bedroom, which got a complete makeover! I also somehow managed to give myself a pinched nerve in my neck resulting in pain all down my arm which has really cramped my style these last few weeks. I haven't been doing much of anything. No reading. And only the occasional crafting. This past weekend I had an 84th birthday party to attend and a coworker was celebrating his special day as well. I splurged a bit over at My Favorite Things Stamps this month and I decided it was the perfect opportunity to break out some of my new goodies.
The first card was made for my great-aunt's birthday. I wanted something elegant and simple and I think this card is the perfect combination of both. Also, notice. No coloring and it's a standard A2 size instead of one of my usual 5-1/2" x 5-1/2" squares. Trying to step out of my comfort zone a bit more...
My co-worker has a characteristic red beard and it was a no brainer to use Hipster Cat from Some Odd Girl combined with new dies acquired from MFT Stamps for his birthday card. I embossed the sentiment using a stamp from the MFT Stamps Essential Sentiments stamp set.
Thanks for taking a peek! Hope you have an amazing week!

La-La Land Crafts Trio from 2018
Hi! I'm checking in with another installment of "I need to get caught up"! Today I have a few La-La Land Crafts cards from last year that I never shared.
First up, a graduation card featuring Graduation Marci! She's colored with Copics, fussy cut, and popped up on foam squares.
Second, I have a 1st Birthday card that was a special order. Luka is always a good choice for boys of all ages! This is Luka with Tractor. Again, I colored the image with Copics, fussy cut, and mounted on foam squares.
And finally, another commissioned birthday card, for an outdoorsy type, featuring Fisherman Luka. I made the tent from a piece of card stock.
Thanks for stopping by! Check back tomorrow for two more projects from the Club La-La Land Crafts January 2019 club kit!

A Year's Worth of Krista Smith
Hi there! Happy 2019! I know I've been quiet. I needed a bit of a break from blogging. I needed to recover from the holidays! Lol I love them, but I feel like I'm non-stop from October through December!
At the end of 2018 I said good-bye to two of my design teams. My term at Some Odd Girl was up and I stepped down from Make It Crafty. I adored being on both teams but working a 40+ hour work week and having all those deadlines was starting to catch up with me.
I am hoping that a little free time in the new year will allow me to really focus on my remaining design team and to have a chance to finally share all of those OTHER cards that I make throughout the year. I always seem to have a backlog of them.
Today I'm going to catch up on some Saturated Canary/Krista Smith projects. I literally have a dozen of them to share with you! This first one actually goes back to 2017! I'll be darned if I can find any of the other specifics now, but the image is called Beach Hat. All dies used are from La-La Land Crafts.
Here is a card for a tea party themed birthday and a girl who loves donuts! Talk about going straight to your hips! I can't remember the name of this image, but I think it was something along those lines. Again, all dies are from La-La Land Crafts. The chipboard sentiment is from Make It Crafty.
Another birthday card here. I saved this one as Cozy Lights, but that may or may not be the name of the image. I literally have over a thousand Saturated Canary/Krista Smith images and sometimes it's hard to keep track! All dies are from La-La Land Crafts.
Here's a cute winter themed one I made for a ski bunny, which also the name of the image. All dies are from La-La Land Crafts. (Are you beginning to see a pattern yet?! Haha!)
I've been experimenting more with some clean and simple style cards. Here is one such attempt using Lisa's Giraffe. The chipboard sentiment is from Make It Crafty.
This was a good-bye card for a coworker. Though she wasn't even alive yet in the 1970s, this 70s Vibe image captured her beauty and spirit perfectly! All dies are from La-La Land Crafts.
This darling birthday card was for a sea lover. Sweet Sailor Girl was perfect. All dies are from La-La Land Crafts.
And then we have one for a golf lover using Tee It Up. All dies are from La-La Land Crafts. (Incidentally I seem to like this paper for this image as this is the second time I have created a card pairing the two!)
My easel card using the Pitcher image. All dies are from La-La Land Crafts.
This is my son's birthday card from last year. He is Fortnite obsessed and as soon as I saw this piƱata Die-namics from My Favorite Things Stamps I knew I had to buy it and make a Loot Llama to go with this image from Krista's Patreon subscription. The stencil is also from MFT Stamps and the other dies are from La-La Land Crafts.
Almost done...
I made an anniversary card for a baseball fan using Spring Ball. All dies are from La-La Land Crafts.
And finally, a sweet, simple birthday card using Dreads.
Phew! We did it! Thanks for sticking with me until the end! I hope you have enjoyed the cards. If you would like to acquire new images from Krista so that you can color and create, be sure to check out her Patreon where you can choose from different tiers. Patreon is great site because it gives fans of artists a way to support their favorites and receive exclusive content in the process!
Look for more projects from me using Krista's work in 2019! Have a great weekend!
