Hey there! How goes it, crafty peeps? Today is the start of my birthday week and what better way to kick it off than with a new Corrosive Challenge!?

In honor of the day I was born, our challenge theme is "Birthdays". Simply make a birthday card, any kind for anyone, and enter it for your chance to win! I selected Whiskers Under My Broom to work with. She is colored with Copics and cut out using the Classic Squares Nestabilities (Spellbinders). I found a fun challenge over at Your Next Stamp (#15) that combined a fun sketch and inspirational photo. You could use one or the other or both. Since it was a phot of purple cupcakes, I figured I'd use my favorite color in my creation. Papers are Lilybeedesign - Picket Fence tiny tablet. The sentiment is computer generated and cut using the Fishtails Flags Stax Die-namics (My Favorite Things). I added ribbon, flowers, pearls, and a couple of pipe cleaners. I have seen this embellishment used on other cards and wanted to try it. I think maybe they are a tad too wide, but I like them anyway.
And if you've read all the way to the end you will see that I have a special birthday BLOG CANDY up for grabs! This item is a hot commodity so you might want to enter the random drawing... It is Issue #47 of Complete Cardmaking magazine. Yup, this is the one with the CD that contains those coveted Saturated Canary images!!!
