Handfasted

It's official: I have a new sister-in-law!  I am so happy for my brother and his new bride!  It was a beautiful and unique wedding, and I was thrilled to be such a special part of it!  Their ceremony was a handfasting, and I was the officiant (this means I solemnized their marriage).  This is the wedding card I made for them.  I'm not even sure if they will have opened it yet when this posts, but I used this gorgeous sketch from Creative Stamp Friends (#77) and I wanted to be able to enter the challenge.

Here is the happy couple with my son, Kayne, who was their ring bearer.  The wedding was Fantasy/SciFi themed and costumes were encouraged.  When I asked him what he wanted to dress as he kept saying "cowboy".  We decided it was best to let him be what he wanted to be because after all Cowboys and Aliens is totally SciFi!

I thought that this bride and groom image of Eric and Christina from All That Scraps looked like them so I bought the digi for their card.  I'm so glad that All That Scraps took over carrying the Tickled Pink Stamps line!  These images are so quirky and fun!  I used my Copics to color it and cut it out using the Romantic Rectangles Nestabilities from Spellbinders.  This sketch was a busy one, but I loved it for that very reason!  I added die cut corners, lace, flowers, a rhinestone flourish, rings, a piece of filmstrip, and the Mr. and Mrs. sentiment stamped on a Fancy Tags die (also from Spellbinders). Bride Christina has Stickles on her veil.  Papers are My Mind's Eye The Sweetest Thing - Bluebell.

What a whirlwind the last couple of days have been! It's a long weekend here in the US, and I plan on relaxing for the next two days!  And I think the relaxing needs to start now!  I will not have a new Corrosive Challenge project for you unfortunately but a new challenge does start in a few hours.  Pllease pop over to see what the theme is and view the eye candy the team has created!

Markers used: Copics (E11, E21, E00, R20, RV10, RV19, N0, N2, N4, N6, N8, BG10, BG72, YG11, YG95, E23, E27, E31, E79).

Thanks for visiting!

The Corrosive Challenge #174 - My Sentiments Exactly

Happy Mother's Day to all you maternal type people out there!  I will be celebrating later at a family cookout, but for now I have a new Corrosive Challenge, a new sponsor, and a new card to share with you!  This fortnight our sponsor is none other than the sensational queen of sentiments: Cheri of Graphicat Designs!  She specializes in sass and snark, but there are plenty of options to choose from in her online store!  She has generously offered a $10 gift voucher for our winner this fortnight!  She has also provided each DT member with a sentiment to use for our new challenge: My Sentiments Exactly!  Simply use a sentiment on the outside of your project to qualify.  Since I am on the DT for her sketch challenge I simply chose a sentiment from my collection.  This one is actually one of four freebies currently offered HERE on the Graphicat Sketches blog!  I paired it with my All That Scraps image which was supposed to be used for the previous Corrosive Challenge.  She was all colored up, but I was so busy that she never made it to a card.  I figured better late than never since she is a beauty.  This is Butterfly Willow from The Tickled Pink Lil Lads and Lolitas line at All That Scraps.

Willow is colored with Copics.  I distressed the edges of my layers with a pair of scissors and add a few stamped elements (from Stampin' Up) to my image panel.  Add flowers, bling, hat pins, and a punched butterfly from my stash to finish.  The papers are My Minds Eye The Sweetest Thing - Tangerine.  I used the current sketch from Sketch N Stash (#113) for my layout.  I like these as they are very basic and leave all the additional embellishments up to you!

I hope you'll head over to the Corrosive Challenge blog to see what the rest of the team has created to inspire you!

Markers used: Copics (E11, E21, E00, R20, R24, R27, R29, E23, E27, E79, BG10, BG70, BG72, YG93, YG95, Y38, YR15, YR18).

And since I'm here I might as well take care of today's Blog Every Day in May theme as well.  Today's theme: What do you miss? (a person, a thing, a place, a time of your life...)

Thinking about this one I couldn't settle on one thing that I miss...  I miss my two black cats, Loki and Poe who both have passed on - one from old age, one from illness.  I miss the care-free days of my youth.  I miss the 80s and all that went with it - cheesy movies, hair bands, big hair, and the totally awesome fashion.  I miss living in California where I would wake up to the sound of sea lions barking.  And I miss having someone special in my life.  I'm okay with being a single mom 99% of the time.  But every once in a while I get the crazy idea in my head that I should start dating again...  Maybe one of these days I'll actually be brave enough to do it!  What about you?  What do YOU miss?

Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy your day!

Coffin Break

The ladies at Tickled Pink Stamps decided it was time to create just for the fun of it!  I, of course, opted to make a Halloween card!  This is Lil Haunt 2 Vampire Lestat.  And he is in need of a coffin break.  Get it? Coffin.... break... *clears throat* Anyway, I shudder to think at the refreshments he'll be partaking in, but he certainly looks dashing in his cape!  The image is colored with Copics and Prismacolor Art Markers.  Papers are from a Martha Stewart - Vampires pad left over from last year. The sentiment and matching die are also from TPS (though now discontinued).  I added a Drippy Goo punched border (another Martha Stewart favorite for Halloween) as well as red pleated ribbon, a few flowers, and some rhinestone brads.  The layout is last week's sketch from Sketch Saturday (#222).

With Halloween fast approaching now is the time to break out all those amazing Spinks and Spooks from Tickled Pink Stamps!  Unfortunately, the TPS store is currently experiencing some technical difficulties so please bear with us as they work to get the issues resolved.

It saddens me to announce that this will be my last post as a Tickled Pink Stamps design team member.  I have decided to step down to focus on my other two design team obligations and perhaps to try something new in the future.  I want to thank all the {PINK} gals for their friendship over the past year and especially to owner Kellie Winnell, whose generosity and fun, funky, fabulousness made it such a great pleasure and honor to work for her!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll check back soon!

Markers used: Copics (W4, W6, W8, W10, Y35, Y38, E23, E34) and Prismacolor Art Markers (79, 108, 109, 150, 169, 209).

Witchy Woman

What better way to celebrate my birthday than by making a card for my favorite holiday!  Tickled Pink Stamps is sponsoring Creative Inspirations this week and the theme is "ANYTHING GOES"!  So of course I opted to create something Halloween!

I chose Lil Haunts Witch Lylah as my image.  I remembered that I had these cool Martha Stewart Elegant Witch coasters in my crafty stash.  I also happened to have the matching Elegant Witch paper mat stack!  Perfect!  I colored Lylah with Copics and fussy cut her (no easy feat as this image has lots of thin, delicate areas).  Here is a closer look at my witchy woman:

I created a "frame" for her with the Spellbinders Nestabilities Fleur de Lis and Classic Squares.  A little cheesecloth behind her gives her some definition against the busy background paper.  I really went a little crazy with the embellishments, also adding pearls, flowers, a doily, and a Magnolia Doohickey die cut swirl.

But I like the look of the finished card and think the cluttered chaos works perfectly for this bewitching lady!

Please head over to the Tickled Pink Stamps blog to see what the other talented {PINK} gals have created for this challenge!  Then play along yourself for your chance to win a fabulous TPS prize!

I'm off to enjoy my yummy chocolate birthday cake!  Hope your day was as special as mine!  Thanks for the visit and please know that all your lovely comments are always greatly appreciated!

Markers used: Copics (E11, E21, E00, R20, Y32, Y35, Y38, YG91, YG93, W4, W6, W8, W10).

I'd also like to enter this card in the following challenges:
- The Crazy Challenge: #126-Black, White, and 1 Other (yellow)
Whoopsie Daisy: Die Cuts and/or Punches

Too Cute To Spook

With all the Halloween crafty goodies starting to arrive in the stores I have been in the mood to making cards for my favorite holiday!  Tickled Pink Stamps is sponsoring Stamptacular Sunday Challenges this week!  They have a photo inspiration challenge for us and imagine my delight when it looked like THIS:

I was giddy!  I printed off Lil Pinkette Haunting Witch Audrey and used some dies to create a card that is too cute to spook!  I recently acquired the fabulous Tim Holtz Branch Tree die and this is my first time using it!  I know it is going to see many more times through my Cuttlebug before Halloween is over!  Witch Audrey is colored with Copics, fussy cut, and popped up on foam squares.

The moon was created with my Classic Circles Nestabilities and a Marble Texture Cube stamps from Stampendous.

The sentiment, which is from a My Favorite Things set by the same name, has been stamped on one of the Spellbinders Fancy Tags dies.  Papers are My Mind's Eye - Halloween Scary Sparkles.  I added some black lace, a Martha Stewart punched bat (complete with rhinestone bling trail), and a metal corner.

My layout is from the current challenge for Terrifically Thrilling Thursday at Shelly's Images.  There is a fabulous sketch, but I'm afraid I took a few liberties with it, such as replacing the second rectangle with my tree.  I do hope that you'll stop by the Tickled Pink Stamps blog to see how the rest of the {PINK} ladies interpreted the photo inspiration.  And I hope you'll be inspired to play along!

Markers used: Copics (E11, E21, E00, E13, E15, E17, E19, W4, W6, W8, W10, R20, Y35, YR04, YR07) and Prismacolor Art Markers (149).

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:
- Sentimental Sundays: #114-Fall
- Catch the Bug: Anything Goes
- Challenge Up Your Life: #75-Everything Goes
- Simply Create Too: #19-Anything Goes
- PaperPlay Challenges: '12-Week 31-Layer It Up
- House of Gilli: #38-Fall Colors

Thanks for visiting and I'll be back in a bit with my second post today for the new Corrosive Challenge!

Tickled Pink Stamps Sponsors Aud Sentiments

I have done it again - procrastinated myself into a predicament!  I have more things to do than I have time available!  So unfortunately I will not have my Sassy Studio Designs preview ready for you.  On the bright side, I do have this cute little lad to show you!  Tickled Pink Stamps is currently sponsoring Aud Sentiments and the challenge is to "Tag It".  We want you to pop your sentiment on a tag!

I decided to make a thank you card as a very nice mum of one of the little boys that Kayne goes to day care with gave us some wonderful hand me downs recently.  I'm talking barely worn GAP and Reebok! So to express our appreciation for her thoughtfulness, I colored up Lil Little Lad Frankie!  I made my tag with the Spellbinders Small Labels die and a hole punch, sponging some Tim Holtz Distress Ink on it before stamping my sentiment.  Papers are Basic Grey - Oxford.

I must collapse into bed and try to get a little sleep now, but please stop over to visit the Tickled Pink Stamps blog to see what the other {PINK} ladies have come up with for this challenge!  We hope you might even be inspired to play along for a TPS prize!

Thanks for dropping by and have a fabulous day!

Tickled Pink Stamps Sponsors Winter Wonderland Challenges

I have really been enjoying my vacation but it is back to work today, at least as far as my design team duties are concerned!  I actually have three more days before I have to go back to my job!  But I did start crafting again yesterday and this was the first project that I made.  It is a holiday card for today's Tickled Pink Stamps sponsorship of Winter Wonderland Challenges!  As always, the theme is Christmas, but there is a twist - to use a sentiment as a focal point on your creation.

I have used a Tickled Pink Stamps digital image as well as one of their coordinating die and sentiment stamp sets.  My image is Lil Victorian Christmas Lad Luca.  Unfortunately, the rubber sentiment stamps and die set are no longer available.  Luca is colored with Copics and Prismacolor Art Markers, fussy cut, and popped up on foam squares.  Papers are Stampin' Up and I simply added one rhinestone corner embellishment to finish it off.  The sketch I used was Just Us Girls (#144), but I missed the deadline for entry.  Ooops!

Be sure to visit the Tickled Pink Stamps blog to see what the other {PINK} ladies have created for this challenge!

I'd also like to enter this card in the following challenges:
- Stampavie and More: #172-Christmas in Summer
- Crafty Sentiments: Christmas in July
- Lady Bug Crafts Ink: #172-Christmas in July
- Hooked on Crafts: #22-Christmas in July
- Lollipop Crafts: #84-Christmas in July
- The Crazy Challenge: #124-Christmas in July

Thanks for stopping by and I'll be back in a few hours with a new Sassy Studio Designs Fabulous Freebie Friday and some vacation photos!

Celebrate Freedom

Happy 4th of July!!!  While it's nice to have a day off in the middle of the work week, today is about more than just that and fun in the sun.  I wanted to make sure I remember that I live in a country where I am blessed with many freedoms and privileges.  We are not a country without problems and shortcomings, but I feel lucky to be able to celebrate Independence Day in the United States of America.  And today I have a card showcasing my patriotic pride!

I'm here to tell you about Tickled Pink Stamps' sponsorship of Fab 'n' Funky.  Appropriately enough their challenge is "Stars and Stripes" (#128).  I do have striped designer paper and a die cut star on my creation, but what I loved was this designer paper I found at Joann that had the words stars and stripes printed all across it!  It was perfect for this card!

The TPS digi image I selected for my card is Party Pinkette Coraline.  She is colored with Copics and Prismacolor Art Markers.  I paper pieced her balloon with the striped paper as well as using it for the star.  The star and ribbon banner dies are both from Spellbinders.  That fabulous rhinestone flourish is a Michaels Recollections embellishment and it reminded me of fireworks so I added it to the card.  The sketch I followed is a fairly CAS one over at Sentimental Sundays.  It was a bonus part of the "Be Patriotic" (#109) challenge this week.

Be sure to stop by the Tickled Pink Stamps blog to see what the other {PINK} ladies have dreamed up for this challenge.  Not everyone is celebrating July 4th so it's fabulous to see their creative interpretations of the theme!

I will be attending a cook out at my parents' house with the small man today.  We didn't make it to see any fireworks displays this year (with the exception of the illegal ones someone in the neighborhood lights off at all hours of the night!) but we'll enjoy our holiday just the same.  It's probably for the best considering I'm the girl who managed to burn her finger on a fairly innocuous sparkler one year!  lol

Thanks for visiting and hope you have a spectacular day no matter what country's colors you hold dear!

I'd also like to enter this card into the following challenges:
- Celebrate the Occasion: #69-4th of July

Tickled Pink Stamps Sponsors Cupcake Craft

I love when while crafting I learn a lesson...  I'm here to tell you about today's Tickled Pink Stamps sponsorship of the new Cupcake Craft Challenge, which is #197 - "Something in the Eyelet". To play along with the challenge you have to include at least one eyelet on your creation.  And tonight's lesson would be that setting eyelets and apartment living do not mix well!  I never use them anymore (never invested in a Crop-A-Dile either), and I forgot how noisy a process it is!  Every attempt to muffle the noise only seemed to make it louder, and I would end up being unsuccessful in setting the eyelet.  In the end I improvised and used a hole punch and glue dots.  Hey, if MacGyver could find multiple uses for duct tape, I can certainly be creative with my glue dots!

I decided to work with another lad this evening and selected Lil Lad Stefan as my image.  We are expecting some hot and sticky weather here later this week, just in time for the official start of Summer and it has me thinking of the ocean and the beach.  I have this fabulous DCWV Summer Days mat stack that I want to get good use out of so I went and flipped through it for some fun papers.  My sketch is #161 from the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.  I really enjoy Karen's layout and play along when I can.  But today I noticed that they are having a casting call for design team members.  Everyone knows how much I love sketches!  So WHY aren't I on a sketch design team yet?!?  Good question and I think I need to try to do something about that!  So I am going to try out and see what happens.  I love the teams I'm on now, but lately I've been itching for something new!  (Sadly, I found out today that I didn't make the Kenny K team.)

Embellishments were my white eyelets, fishtail banners made from the My Favorite Things First Place Ribbon Die-namic, and a couple of flowers.  I also did some doodling around the edge of my image panel. Can you smell the coconut oil?  I sure can!  Well, in my case it would be the  SPF100, but you get the idea!!  lol  I hope you will pop over to the Tickled Pink Stamps blog to see what the other {PINK} ladies have put together for this challenge!

I'd also like to enter this card in the following challenges:
- Robyn's Fetish Challenge: #112-Anything Goes
- Sweet Stampin': Summer Fun
- Divas By Design#39-Summer Theme
- Paper PrettiesPWC120-Summer Inspiration
- Raise The Bar: #107-Hello Summer!

Tickled Pink Stamps Sponsors Send A Smile 4 Kids

Better late than never!  This was supposed to go live this morning, but I wasn't finished with my card.  I was too tired to start it last night, and my first attempt to color my image this morning ended in catastrophe so I had to walk away and come back when I was fresh.  I know, I know... If I didn't always procrastinate and planned for the unexpected I'd never be late.  But if I did all that then I wouldn't be me!  :-)  So anyway, I'm finally here with my card for today's Tickled Pink Stamps sponsorship!  We are sponsoring Send A Smile 4 Kids.  The challenge is "Birthday Fun for Kids".  Here is a little information about this group as they are more than just a challenge blog.

Send A Smile 4 Kids is a charitable blog created for the purpose of collecting donated handmade cards to be distributed to children while they are inpatient at Children’s Hospitals. Currently they are donating them to the several different Children’s Hospitals. On any given day, there are many children inpatient in these hospitals so they would love to receive as many cards as you can send to cheer them and their families. The kids may also use your cards as Thank You notes to the nurses and doctors and to give to parents or relatives on special days like birthdays or Mothers or Fathers Day. Any cards appropriate for children are welcome including any holiday (not religious specific please) and happy any day cards. For more information, please click on Guidelines for Donated Cards Tab.

I have used the adorable Lil Little Lad Luca for my project.  He's colored with Copics, fussy cut, and popped up with foam squares.  I used this awesome sketch from Sketches by Carly (#58) as my layout.  This one was a lot of fun (all Carly's sketches are!)!  The papers are from my stash and I thought they had a youthful look to them.  They're from Basic Grey's Lime Rickey collection.  So fun!  I embossed the square panel behind the image with the Cuttlebug Number Collage embossing folder.  Seam binding, baker's twine, and a ticket sentiment created from a My Favorite Things die and  a TPS sentiment finish off the card.

I hope you will stop over the Tickled Pink Stamps blog to see what my lovely design team mates have created.  Even though Tickled Pink Stamps is no longer releasing new images, you can still buy the existing ones here in the TPS online store.  Snap 'em up now before they disappear forever!

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are enjoying your weekend so far!

The Corrosive Challenge #150 - Not Too Shabby

Happy Sunday!  Is everyone enjoying their weekend so far?  It's a long holiday one in honor of Memorial Day here, and I am looking forward to some fun, a little crafty time, and an extra day with the small man! It's been a busy one already!  I even got to enjoy some "me time".  It started with a trip to the spa for nails and a pedicure Friday evening.  Here are the fabulous results (and my fancy new flip flops!)

**I'm going to apologize in advance but I am afraid I am now smitten with Instagram so you'll be seeing a lot more of these funky square photos!**  I then slept, blissfully alone, in my own bed and took up as much space as I wanted!  This is a big deal, you see, as every night we start out with the wee one in his toddler bed but inevitably, somewhere around 2am, I wake to find him standing next to mine, toy in hand, looking to climb into mommy's bed.  (And for one so little, he's a HUGE bed hog!  lol)  Don't get me wrong, I love to cuddle with him!  There's nothing better, but there's also a lot to be said for an uninterrupted and solitary night of sleep!  A luxury only moms can truly appreciate, I think! lol  Saturday afternoon I took in a movie with my two brothers (and the younger one's fiancee).  Let me just say: The Avengers = Awesome!  I am a HUGE fan of Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man!  And with Joss Whedon writing and directing, it was a winner all around!  I laughed, I gasped, I shouted.  It was well worth the price of the ticket plus popcorn!

Two cookouts are on the agenda for the remainder of the weekend.  And if the weather cooperates maybe we'll get to enjoy a dip in a pool as well!

But before I head off with my deviled eggs, I have a new Corrosive Challenge to tell you about!  It's the last one for May and our fabulous sponsor, Tickled Pink Stamps!  This fortnight it's "Not Too Shabby" at The Corrosive Challenge!  Yup, that's right - for a chance to win a fabulous prize from TPS and the opportunity to be our guest designer for July, we want to see your shabby chic or vintage creations!  Now I know this style is intimidating to some...  I was a little leery when I first attempted them too, but it wasn't so bad!  I normally would have opted for shabby chic, but this time I decided to give vintage a go.  I have to say that I rather like the results!

My card features Lil French Lolita Lilith from Tickled Pink Stamps.  Those fabulous papers that seem made for her are from My Mind's Eye - Lost & Found - Union Square.  I layered them with Stampin' Up card stock in Black, Kraft, and Cranberry Crisp (retired).  The kraft is distressed and inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Vintage Photo.  The flowers are a combination of WOC, I Am Roses, and Michaels' Recollections.  For interest and texture I added the black rhinestone swirl and Tim Holtz metal photo corner.  The crown border punch is Martha Stewart and my FAB ticket was created with a Tim Holtz die and coordinating stamp set plus a sentiment from My Favorite Things.

I hope you'll visit both the Tickled Pink Stamps and The Corrosive Challenge blogs to see what the ladies on the design teams have come up with to inspire you!  It would be wonderful if you wanted to play along too!

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:
- Card Makin Mamas: #46-Feeling Punchy
- Dilly Beans: Friendship
- Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog: #55-Any Sentiment
- Southern Girls Challenges: #45-Dying to Die Cut (or Punch)
- Whimsy Stamps Inspirations Challenges: #40-Vintage/Shabby Chic

Thanks for the visit and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Tickled Pink Stamps Sponsors Divas By Design

Hello!  Well, we're half way through the work week and that much closer to the weekend.  I'm freaking out a bit as it's one of those crazy, hectic crafty weeks and I am off to a slow start.  I'm hoping to gain some momentum and get things accomplished now.... because sometimes the hardest part is getting started and I've done that!  So today I'm here to tell you about another fabulous sponsorship from Tickled Pink Stamps!  I'm sure many of you have heard the news that Kellie has decided to close TPS down.  It is heart-breaking for TPS fans everywhere, but she needs to do what is best for her and her family.  The good news is that though there won't be any new images released the store will remain open for some time so that you can purchase all your favorite existing Lolitas, Lads, and Pinkettes in digi form!  And since we have some cool sponsorships that we are still participating in, you could possibly WIN a couple of those images too!

Today it's Divas By Design and their challenge is "Tickled Pink"!  Let's see you use LOTS of pink!  I did, but a bit of blue snuck in as well.  My image is Party Pinkette August, and she can be found here in the TPS shop.  She's colored with Copics with a touch of Stardust glitter pen.  Papers are Basic Grey - Urban Prairie.  I've used a couple of dies, one Spellbinder (Picot Circles) and one Die-namics from My Favorite Things.  The only embellishments I added were a few flowers and some large half pearls, one in each corner.  I didn't want to distract too much from the lovely Mojo Monday sketch (#241).  The sentiment is also from My Favorite Things.

If you'd like a chance to play along for a Tickled Pink prize then visit Divas By Design.  Also pop over to the Tickled Pink Stamps blog to see what the {PINK} ladies have come up with for this challenge!  It was an easy one for us!  After all, {PINK} is what we do!

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check back later this week as I'll have a few posts from Sassy Studio Designs! We're in the middle of previews for the new release, which is happening on Saturday!  Plus I'll have another Fabulous Freebie Friday for you as well!

Have a terrific day!

The Corrosive Challenge #149 - Flowers and Doilies and Bling , Oh My!

Happy Mother's Day!  I want to wish all the moms out there a wonderful day of relaxation and pampering!  I hope that there are some new crafty goodies, and some crafting "me" time, in your future today!  And to help you along with that I'm here to tell you about a fabulous new Corrosive Challenge, sponsored by the awesome Tickled Pink Stamps!

This fortnight at The Corrosive Challenge it's "Flowers and Doilies and Bling, Oh My!"  Use at least two out of the three items on your creation and you could win the monthly prize for May!  TPS has generously offered 2 digi images of choice to our winner!  And you get the chance to be our guest designer for July as well!

My card is a Mother's Day card for my own mom!  I've used Easter Pinkette Daisy August from Tickled Pink Stamps and paired her with this month's sketch from Crafting Life's Pieces (#47).  Both were a lot of fun to work with!  August is my favorite Pinkette.  She reminds me of myself, I suppose.  Papers are Basic Grey - Lemonade.  I added flowers, a doily, and pearls in the center of the flower ribbon (for the bling).  The pennant banner was created using the Banner Day Die-namics die from My Favorite Things.  I placed some chipboard letters on top to spell "MOM".  The border punch is a Martha Stewart one and no creation of mine is complete without Tim Holtz, right?  lol  The metal corner is his.

I hope you'll visit both the Tickled Pink Stamps and The Corrosive Challenge blogs to see the amazing creations that my fellow design team mate have put together for you!  And I hope you'll play along!

I have this post scheduled in advance so that I can sleep in and then I'll be heading out to enjoy some family time and Chinese take-out.  Whatever your day brings, I hope it is fun-filled and happy!  Enjoy!

I'd also like to enter this card in the following challenges:
- Basic Grey: Anything Goes
- Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge: #185-I Love You Mum
- Stamp, Scrap, and Doodle Saturdays: Mother's Day
- Pattie's Creations: #43 -Mother's Day
- Simply Create Too: #13-Mother's Day (or Feminine)

Corrosive Tickled Tim Holtz... Wha...?

My blog title probably sounds like something from one of those Mad Libs word games!  Or perhaps like non-sense spouted from one over-tired crafter who may see the sun rise in order to get all her duties squared away. (Well, THAT will teach me to go off and party with a rock band on a Saturday night! lol)  But I assure you what appears to be a bit of silliness is actually just a combination of two fun challenges, one fabulous online digi stamp company, and the infamous Tim Holtz!

I have combined my Corrosive Challenge card with my Tickled Pink Stamps sponsorship card for Crafting When We Can.  The wonderful thing about this is that Tickled Pink Stamps is our May sponsor over at The Corrosive Challenge so it all ties in quite nicely!  Confused yet?  Well, don't be.  It's simple: to join us at The Corrosive Challenge simply use at least one Tim Holtz item on your project.  It could be his stamps, dies, embossing folder, inks, or accessories!  Whatever you have in your crafty stash or that new product you bought because we were a good excuse to do so!   Please just tell us in your blog post what it was you used.  To join the Crafting When We Can sketch challenge, use the layout below for your creation.  Both offer up some amazing Tickled Pink Stamps prizes!

For my card I have used Lil Spanish Lolita Willow from Tickled Pink Stamps.  Cinco de Mayo is almost here, and I have a friend who absolutely loves it.  I think what she really loves is an excuse to drink margaritas, but who can blame a girl for celebrating that, right? lol  The designer paper is from Basic Grey.  Border punch is Martha Stewart.  And my flowers are a mix of WOC and Recollections.  Can you find my Tim Holt items?  Well, that would be the music embossing folder used behind Senorita Willow; the metal photo corner; and the ornate metal bookplate frame.  My image is colored with Copics and, of course, my layout is courtesy of Challenge #17 at Crafting When We Can because it's Sketch Time there!

Be sure to head over to both The Corrosive Challenge AND Tickled Pink Stamps blogs to see what each design team has done for these fantastic challenges!

Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a spectacular Sunday!

Tickled Pink Stamps Sponsors Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog

Happy Easter! I hope the Bunny was good to everyone and that there is enough chocolate in your house to make your dentist cringe! Before I head off for Easter dinner with the family, I wanted to tell you quickly about a fabulous Tickled Pink Stamps sponsorship for Paper Sundaes! It is one of their yummy sundae "toppings" bar challenges, and you have some delightful items to choose from - kraft card stock, die cuts, lace, and charms. You must select at least 2 of the 4 to use on your project. I had it in my head that "lace" was "doily" for some reason so I have only used 3 out of 4! Oopsie!! Although the Martha Stewart border punch I used does have a definite lacy feel to it.

For my card I've selected School Pinkette Heidi as my image. She was recently released along with her three classmates - Chloe, Kira, and Jessie! Papers are from the Grade School stack from DCWV. The fish tail pennant element was made with pieces from the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics from My Favorite Things. I added a few WOC flowers and an apple charm. My layout is the current Mojo Monday sketch (#235).

Be sure to head over to the Tickled Pink Stamps blog to see what the rest of the {PINK} ladies have created! And play along over at Paper Sundaes for your chance to win a fantastic TPS prize!

Enjoy your holiday, if you celebrate it, and have a lovely day!

Tickled Pink Stamps Pinkette Preview: School Pinkette Kira

Hi! I'm back with another Tickled Pink Stamps School Pinkette preview! Today we are showcasing Kira! I imagine her as the one who makes the school uniform fashionable. She's smart, sweet, and a little bit sassy. And she is front and center of this fabulous Crazy 4 Challenges sketch (C4C130), colored in Copics and Prismacolor Art Markers, fussy cut, and popped up on foam squares. Papers are Oxford from Basic Gray, and I couldn't wait to use them! All other embellishments are from my stash (Tim Holtz Type Charms, pleated ribbon, pearl strip, flowers). I used the Tim Holtz File Tab die to add a little interest. I also put a dab of glaze pen on the lenses of her glasses. The gorgeous Picot Circle die is a Spellbinders Nestie!

Please head over to the Tickled Pink Stamps blog to see what the rest of the amazing {PINKette} ladies have created with this lil darling! And if you leave a comment there, you'll be entered for a chance to win a digi image of your own!

Thanks again for dropping in! Have a fabulous Monday!
