Is it Wednesday already? Where is this week going...? I guess I've been having so much fun creating with the new Sassy Studio Designs movie themed images that I haven't noticed it's mid-week! I have been cranking out a card a day (which is pretty good, considering I work full-time and have a wee one!). I have even been told my fellow design team mates that I am on a roll! Well, when you are this excited about the images and have a sneak peak countdown going on, how can you not be? lol
Today is Day 3 of the Sassy Studio Designs new release countdown... Be sure to check out the SSD blog to see today's post containing Kathy's wonderful sneak peek of Tin Honey. Lindsay has really outdone herself this time and if you are a Wizard of Oz fan, you are going to want this collection! On Day 1 I shared my Dorothy Honey card with you. Today I give you Glinda Honey. She is the Good Witch of the North, complete with poufy pink dress and glittering crown. The famous catch phrase, "Are you a good witch or a bad witch?" is computer generated. There is always a fabulous sketch for me to use somewhere in crafting cyber space and this time I tried my hand at the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #33. Their Spellbinder die friendly stamps are exquisite and their design team creations are truly awe-inspiring! Though I didn't use any on my card this time (it's not required) I did want to give them a mention as I'm a big fan!I am hoping to have another sneak peek for you tomorrow, but I have Valentine's to make so we will have to see how smoothly my evening goes. My intention was to finish two cards tonight, but the heart -shaped chocolate chip cookie pops I made for day care tomorrow prevented that. We can't have chocolate deprived toddlers now, can we? Haha!

Welcome to Day 2 of the Sassy Studio Designs new release countdown! Are you tingly with anticipation yet?!?!? Well, you should be because these images are drool-worthy! But fear not, I will only be able to tease you with them for 3 more days before they are available for purchase in the Sassy Studio Designs store.
Today I decided to play with Eliza Doolittle from the movie My Fair Lady. That hat of hers is just splendid! I selected the Mojo Monday sketch for my layout. As we all know, I adore sketch challenges so I try to do them whenever I can and this week's MOJO177 is fun, fresh, and has a prize associated with it for one lucky crafter since it's the first challenge of the month!
This card came together easily for me! (Don't you just love when that happens? lol) Even the hand-stitching, which I've never done on a card before, turned out perfectly on the first try! I had everything I needed, including the dimensional flower sticker - purchased today before I even started the card! All I had to do to finish it up was add the computer-generated sentiment!

Well, as promised I'm back with a tantalizing sneak peek at one of the new images for the upcoming Sassy Studio Designs release this weekend. The design team has some fun in store for you to help introduce the fabulous movie inspired images that artist/owner, Lindsay, has created for us! The festivities include a sort of countdown to the Oscars, if you will! So be sure to check the SSD blog every day for a new design team project! I am lucky enough to have the project for Day 1 of the countdown and here she is - Little Honey's Dorothy, from the movie The Wizard of Oz! I used this week's sketch from Card Positioning Systems (CPS204) as my layout and was thrilled to use my Tim Holtz Brick embossing folder for the first time! Add some Stickles, paper, and brads, all in sparkly red, and she is off to see The Wizard, down that Yellow Brick Road! (My sentiment is computer generated, by the way.)

It's Monday and what better way to start the week than with another Sassy Studio Designs sponsored challenge?! This time we are teaming up with Aly's Sunday Challenge! Their assignment for us: "bling it up"! That's right - break out the rhinestones, pearls, glitter and sparkles, ladies, and have fun! With the hearts and flowers holiday being only a week away I decided to make a Valentine's Day card. I used Little Honey's Devil Debbie from Sassy Studio Designs for my image and sketch #141 from Sketch Saturday as the layout. My "bling" are some black half pearls, red rhinestone hearts and a fun sparkly flame sticker from Jolee's Boutique set that I found on clearance at Michaels. I love when a shopping bargain purchased on a whim is JUST the thing I need to make the card pop! Not that Lil Miss She Devil needed much help in THAT department! lol

For my creation, I used a retired SSD image called The Princess and the Frog and a coordinating sentiment from the Fairytale Sentiments collection. My layout is based on sketch # 318 from splitcoaststampers, but the large empty space on one side was taunting me so I added a mulberry rose matted on some die cut fleur de lis.
As Valentine's Day approaches this year I find I'm STILL waiting for Prince Charming... These days even the frogs seem to be few and far between! lol I guess at the moment I only have time for one man in my life (and he happens to be of the small variety). Being his mom comes first, even if it means a few less dates. Besides, I'm more inclined to rescue myself. Damsel in distress is so yesterday. I'd rather make my own happily-ever-after...

In honor of Super Bowl Sunday this week I made a card for my son's father, who is a huge Steelers fan! My image is one from Kenny K. He's called Football, appropriately enough! I turned Sketch #100 from CardPatterns on its side to accommodate my image. I'm not into football personally, and will probably be found stamping on Sunday evening, but I couldn't resist making something for him to celebrate his team making it to the big game.
