Some Odd Girl Design Team Inspiration: Mini Headless Horseman

Hello!  As September creeps to a close my thoughts are happily preoccupied with all things Halloween!  I have lots of fun planned in October and I can't wait!  In the meantime, I have to be content with Halloween crafting!

Today I am sharing my Some Odd Girl design team inspiration!  Kristy has been furiously drawing all these awesome Halloween minis all month!  I've lost count, but I think we're up to 12 now...  There is every spooky Halloween creature you could want!  From a witch to a vampire to a werewolf to zombies to...  The Headless Horseman!  He is one of my favorite Halloween characters so you know I had to color him up and get him on a card!

Make It Crafty Design Team Inspiration: Make A Scene

Hi!  I don't know what got into me but I was feeling adventurous and brave and I tried my hand at coloring an entire scene for this week's Make It Crafty project.  First, I combined two digis - Eerie Scene and Witchy Zelda Waving.  Then I cut out the scene as an "out of the box" square, with the witch's hat and broom peeking out over the edges.  Next I colored!  And colored!  And colored!  I was pretty pleased with my efforts and I like the results enough to want to try it again!  Crazy, right?!  You know who helped encourage me to step out of my comfort zone?  To digitally combine digis to make scenes?  To color a background?  Our very own Zoe!  Everyone needs a Zoe in their life!  I am so very grateful for her pushing me to grow as a crafter!  Want to see the results?

For my card, I went with orange as my other color and decided to make it Halloween themed.  I thought for a change I would use just a sentiment and make it the focal point of the card.  The set I used is called Spook-tacular Sentiments by Becky Pearce and it's back in the shop as a rubber re-release so don't miss out on owning this awesome set!

Some Odd Girl Design Team Inspiration: Teacher's Pet Tia

Hi!  It's my turn to share some crafty inspiration over on the Some Odd Girl blog today.  Every month we host a challenge over in our Facebook community group.  To spice things up, there is an optional theme that you can follow.  This month the theme is Back To School!  (My poor kid has been back in school since August!  Haha!)  But this is one of those themes that is handy to create for all year round!  I now have a teacher's card should I need it for a birthday or those thank you and appreciation days that pop up!

I colored up Teacher's Pet Tia for the occasion!  She is colored with Copics and die cut.  I used a bunch of fun dies on this card!  Check out the product list below for all the details!  We hope that you'll join us over on Facebook and add a SOG project to the challenge folder!  Remember, the theme is optional so don't let that hold you back!

My first project features From my Kitchen Marci.  I have cropped her using a die cut.  Don't be afraid to get creative with your images!  You don't alway have to color and use the whole thing!  I kept the rest of the card simple - white on white with a stenciled background and a few dies.
