Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy {Hearts} Day to you all! I am sneaking this post in last minute to say I hope everyone's day was filled with love and to show off two of the Valentine's Day cards I made in the last 24 hours. The first, seen above, was for my son's paternal grandparents. I used an image from Mo's Digital Pencil Too that I bought this time last year and haven't used since. It's called Cupid in Love. I cut out just Cupid, leaving the heart part of the image out. For my layout I used sketch #101 from Inspirational Card Sketches. A rhinestone flourish here and a sponged sentiment there and I was done. I sent a couple of my chocolate chip cookie pops along with it and was told it was well received! :)

Card Supplies
Images: Cupid in Love (Mo's Digital Pencil Too); Be My Valentine Seal - 977F (Catslife Press)
Ink: printer; Gable Green (Stampin' Up);Tuxedo Black (Memento); Prismacolor Art Markers (207, 12, 170, 194, 4, 89, 90, 78, 201)
Paper: Real Red, So Saffron, Basic Black, and Pixie Pink card stock (Stampin' Up); white card stock (Georgia Pacific); Kelly Panacci Valentine stack designer paper (K&Company)
Accessories: Classic Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders); pink rhinestone stickers - flourish and hearts (Recollections); Cuttlebug Love's In The Air embossing folder (Provocraft); 3D dots

The second card was for my son's father. We're friends, not just co-parents. So though we're not together any longer, we still exchange gifts at various holidays. We use the pretense that they are from Kayne, but I think it makes both of us happy to still be able to make the other smile. Better to have a "sort of" Valentine than none at all, right? lol The Luka images from La-La-Land Crafts have been irresistible to me lately, and I couldn't help but use the adorable Amour Luka again. I have been buying them as digis, but they are available in rubber as well. This time I turned to Sketch Saturday and #142 for my design. A metal charm, a Martha Stewart punch and some red pearls were my finishing touches.

Card Supplies
Images: Amour Luka (La-La-Land Crafts)

Paper: Gable Green, Real Red, Barely Banana, and Basic Black card stock (Stampin' Up); white card stock (Georgia Pacific); Kelly Panacci Valentine stack designer paper (K&Company)

I made one more Valentine tonight and that one is for my parents. I will try to get that posted tomorrow. I have a busy week ahead of me.... A birthday card, another for an order for work, and two SSD design team cards! So be sure to check back to see what other mischief I've been up to! :)
