Expecting Love

Hi!  Today I'm sharing a custom creation.  I received an unusual request: a card for an equine loving new mom-to-be.  My friend told me she wanted a "beautiful blond pregnant girl with a white horse".  Suuure.... No problem.  Only it was a problem.  No such image existed that I could find so I improvised, combining a free line art from AppleHunter on deviantArt (HERE) with Pregnant Woman from Whimsy Stamps.

The images are colored with Copics and I paper pieced the woman's dress.  Papers are My Mind's Eye - Bramble Rose.  I've used a few dies here: Labels Seventeen Nestabilities and Romantic Rectangles from Spellbinders as well as the Heart Doily Border from La-La-Land Crafts.  The sentiment is from My Favorite Things.  The set it's included in is called Baby Bump.  I added flowers, a litle bling, a sprinkling of Fran-tage, and a Tim Holtz metal buckle.

I love being challenged to think outside the box!  I had a hard time getting started on this one, but once I did it all just came together and I'm really happy with the outcome!  Hopefully the recipient will be too!

I will be crafting in all my spare time the remainder of the week!  I hope you'll drop by again soon to see what else I've been up to!

Markers used: Copics (E00, E11, E21, E23, E25, E31, E39, Y23, Y32, Y35, R20, N0, N2, N4, N6).

Regan, I would like to let you know that I have the biggest lump in my throat as I enjoy this beautiful card for a Mum to Be. All the thought and work that has gone into the card is so special and personal. The paper piecing of the mum-to-be's dress is so pretty and the die cut that you chose for the white horse makes me think of the gaits of a horse. Flowers and a touch of sparkle ....well, no less than a Mum to Be deserves and your sentiment .....well that's so lovely. Regan, I'm very moved by this card ....I'm sure the special lady will be too. Ingrid xx ♥
