A Case of the Mondays

Monday already?  For some it's a holiday, but not for me.  It's the most difficult day of the week.  It's hard to go back to the office after a weekend spent with my small man.  Sundays on the other hand, now they are the best!  That's our only whole day together and is it any coincidence it is my favorite day of the week!?  We sleep in, I make breakfast then we run out for coffee and munchkins (the former for me, the latter for him).  Sometimes there are errands to run, but not yesterday.  Just a whole day at home to veg out!  We even made that pumpkin bread together!  See...

I was also sucked into cuddling and movie watching on the couch and as a result, zero crafting got accomplished.  But it's okay.  Sometimes you just need that downtime.  I do have a card to blog that I made on Saturday for a co-worker's birthday.  Any excuse to use another Saturated Canary image, right?

This is Game Time.  She is colored with Copics and fussy cut.  I highly recommend you NOT take that route if you craft with her!  That wispy hair was a challenge and in the end I lost of bit of it in the cutting process.  I popped her up with foam squares.  The sketch is the current Deconstructed Sketch (#72).  Lots of fun layers on this one!  Papers are My Mind's Eye Stella and Rose - Mabel.  I kept the embellishments really simple with just a couple flowers, but I did mat one of them with a die cut from the Picot Edge Circles Nestabilities from Spellbinders.  Fishtail Flags Stax dies are a Die-namics from My Favorite Things.

I am having so much fun lately getting to use some of the amazing images I have in my collection!  This week I'll hopefully be working on Day 3 of the 13 Days of Halloween as well as a few design team projects.  So be sure to check back.  Although Mondays are a long day at work and two of my favorite shows are on in the evening  - Bones and Castle - so I often find myself on the couch with the remote rather than at my craft desk with my Copics.  I have a DVR and use it frequently, but these two I like to catch on their night.  I'm sure it has nothing to do with David Boreanaz or Nathan Fillion...  *swoon* Anyway, hope you're having a good start to your week and that you'll visit again soon!

Markers used: Copics (E11, E21, E00, R20, E04, YG91, YG93, YG95, YG97, E23, E31, E33, E37, E39, E79, YR04, YR18) and Prismacolor Art Markers (79).

Looks like you two had a fabulous day. Send me some bread please. I love your card. Your coloring is getting more gorgeous if that is possible. I will be watching tonight with you. I have to agree that they both make me swoon a bit too. Hugs, Robin

Beautiful card. You put such great colors and patterns together. I totally understand what you mean about fussy cutting some images. Most of the time I am able to determine which images will be a PITA before starting my project and design accordingly. You did a wondeful job on this one. You must have the patience of Job! TFS

Very pretty Regan! Hah ... wouldn't have known part of the hair was missing if you didn't mention it ... especially for those who don't have the image! Great fussy cutting job!
Sounds like you had an amazing day with the little man! ;o)
