She's a Gypsy

I have SO many lovely Saturated Canary images!  I buy more every time Krista has a release.  Or a sale.  Or because it's pay day.  Or Monday.  Or raining.  Or sunny.  Well, you get the point....  With my design team commitments I don't get to play with them quite as often as I'd like!  So when I have the opportunity to, I jump at it!  Beginning in August I have been trying to be more conscientious about sending birthday cards to friends and family.  After all, I make all these creations with great love!  They should have good homes!  (Other than mine.  I'm running out of storage space.)  This card is for my aunt.  I selected Zorana, the Gypsy from Saturated Canary.  She is just a gorgeous creature, and I couldn't wait to color her.  I have to admit her hair was intimidating!  I tried the "flick" technique but my Copic Ws are the classic style marker, and I have a heavy hand with the bullet nib.  Still, I did achieve a certain amount of "shine", I think.  Not too bad and practice makes perfect.

The layout is from Papertake Weekly (#72), and I had a lot of fun with this one!  I added some flowers, metal embellies, bling, and cheesecloth.  Papers are My Mind's Eye - Fine and Dandy Boy.  The image panel is cut using the Labels Twenty One Nestabilities from Spellbinders.

I have been doing a lot of my coloring on my lunch break at work and it has been a stress reducer and welcome break during the day.  It also seems to make the actual card assembly go smoother in the evening.  I have another SC card finished using Pack Light, and I'm currently coloring up Pickles and Ice Cream!  I will share soon...

Thanks for visiting and know I appreciate all your comments!  I have been behind on my own commenting lately and I know the time and effort it takes for each of you and I feel blessed to have such lovely visitor (especially my fabulous regulars - you know who you are!)!

Hope you're having a wonderful week so far!
