Simply B Stamps 13 Days of Halloween: Day 2

Simply B(etty) Stamps is back with Day 2 of their 13 Days of Halloween challenge!  And it's time to get Witchy on the Simply Challenged Challenges blog!  The SBS team wants to see anything Witchy.  Anything BUT a card, that is.  So I decided to create this cute little The Witch Is In doorknob hanger sign using Little Witch from the Classic Steampunk collection.

I started with an unfinished wood hanger purchased at AC Moore.  I traced the shape onto designer paper from the K&Company Brenda Walton Haunted pad. I cut this out using small scissors and my craft knife.  I then adhered the paper to the wood using Mod Podge!  Oh my goodness, is this a wonderful product!  It was my first time using it, but it won't be my last!  After my base was dry, it was time to decorate.

I colored Little Witch using Copics and fussy cut her.  A mini rosette made with a fabulous Tim Holtz die was cut from another piece of designer paper from the same pad.  I placed an epoxy sticker from the same collection in the center.  The spider web was cut using a Cheery Lynn die.  A bit of bling, a sparkly spider (a Jolee's sticker), and a large black and white bow with added black rose adorn the sign.  The sentiment is computer generated using A Charming Font downloaded from Font Space.

This was a ton of fun to make!  I don't often make "projects".  I'm pretty much a straight up card girl.  Before I began paper crafting I never considered myself "crafty" at all.  I'm not big on mess, I suppose.  Glue, paint. glitter are too much effort and clean up for me.  But this was fairly easy to create and I really like how it turned out.  I'm thinking it needs to go to work with me and decorate my cubicle!  What do you think?

I can't wait to see what they have planned for us for Day 3!  It's fun getting to use images from my extensive SBS collection!  Plus it's all about Halloween!  How could I not play along?!  I'm off to get caffeinated and then craft some more!  The small man even asked if he could stamp!  That's right; I'm training him early!  I also need to get that pumpkin bread in the oven today!  Did I mention this is my absolute FAVORITE time of year?  Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Markers used: Copics (E11, E21, E00, R20, E23, E31, E39, W4, W6, W8, W10, V09, V17, Y32, YG91, YG93, YG95, YG97).
